Carroll did say he didn't think Sanchez was ready for the NFL. And I doubt very much that Sanchez has done much to change Pete's mind.

I think the Jets made a smart move. You can win in the NFL with only an average quarterback, but you definitely can't win without a good O-line. Pennington or Ramsey are servicable, but the Brick will be a stud for the next decade or so.
