| #1 Posted on 29.1.02 0841.00 | I am confused as to why there is even any question about the starting QB for the Pats this weekend.
If Brady is healthy, he has got to be the guy, doesn't he? He is the reason they made it this far... Nice to Bledsoe get in last week and not stink, but this is Brady's team now.
Why make a decision on Wednesday? Why annouce it? Let the Rams wonder right up until game time. In fact, don't make a decision until then. Brady is hurting, but give him until Sunday to get better before deciding.

| #2 Posted on 29.1.02 1106.20 | well honestly they are both good QB's but your right... the pats are now bradys team.... unfortunately it's not that easy... if his injury isn't a hundred percent and you have someone of Drew's calibur on the sideline you would use him....
as for making the announcement... they can announce whoever they want and then do the exact opposite on sunday.. it isn't like that hasn't happened before.
Rams all the way baby!

| #3 Posted on 29.1.02 1124.58 | Every person i've heard talk about it on the radio or on tv has said if Brady was healthy he should start, we all agree here, and there was a poll on SPortscenter where close to 70% said it should be Brady.
So I don't know why the media is making a big deal, everyone says it should be Brady.

| #4 Posted on 29.1.02 1504.56 | As a Patriots fan, I'd like to see them play Bledsoe. I think that they'll need at least 24-28 points to have a chance and I think Bledsoe can give them a better chance to get there. With Brady, they've been playing a kind of Dilfer-led Ravens offense, and they'll need to open it up to get the points. I don't think they can count on 2 special teams touchdowns this week.
However, if they have no intention of opening it up they should stick with Brady. | flaming mo

| #6 Posted on 29.1.02 1621.46 | I think Brady will be healthy and start on Sunday. Even though Drew has been a good quarterback in the past, he has not gotten all that many snaps this year, and the Pats have become Brady's team. Come to the Bears, Drew! We need you.

| #8 Posted on 30.1.02 0311.37 | Instant Rating: 4.05 | i say let brady start and play either until:
1) he's uncomfortable to contuine due to the injury or re-aggervated the injury
or
2) they have a safe lead and let Drew mop-up/run up score

Didn't the Giants do the same thing about a decade ago - have Phil Simms get them into the post-season, only to see Jeff Hostetler notch the win in Super Bowl XXV (the infamous Scott Norwood "wide right" game)?

| #10 Posted on 30.1.02 0850.05 | see the key there is whether he is healthy.... and if he isn't then the team needs to do what they can to win.... it would be sad to see Drew start in his spot since Brady guided them there... but if he isn't healthy...
Rams all the way baby!
Dont get me wrong... i'm a rams fan... but i've always liked bledsoe and i've always liked favre... but favre didn't have it that game and i was a little disappointed... i think it would have been a much better game to watch if he had the fire in him.....

| #11 Posted on 30.1.02 1124.00 | When that happened to the Giants Simms did play most of the season, but he did get knocked out with a few games left in the season. So Hoss was the QB for a few regular season games and the playoffs. Switching back just before the SB in my option would have been a bad idea. It could have killed the team chemistries. I'm not even sure if Simms could play the last game.
That is way different from what’s going on with New England. Brady has been the QB for most of the season and the playoffs. From what I understand Brady will be the New England QB next year and Drew will be gone. That being said I think there is no way Bledsoe plays in the Super Bowl unless Brady is still hurt or it’s a blow out.
