If I remember this right, the powerbomb was first 'invented' when Thesz accidentally pulled up too hard on a guy while trying to piledrive him. The guy still landed on his head, but the motion was what we now know of as the power bomb. (I believe the Ganso Bomb got it's name because it resembled Thesz's first powerbomb. Ganso roughly meaning original IIRC.) Someone in Japan was clever enough to realize that one man's messed up spot could become another man's (or woman's) signature move with a little tweaking.

Maybe Japan has soul, maybe it doesn't. Do I understand any of the storylines? Does anybody who posts here know? I doubt it. We buy our tapes (I say we because I, in fact, actually am nuts about Kid Dragon) with no real backstory to what's going on. We watch for the pure wrestling matches, not for any storylines. Thus...

      We buy soulless wrestling tapes.

    Here's the short version:

Riki Choshu worked for New Japan Pro Wrestling. One day, Riki got pissed off and decided to take him and a few of his buddies (Yoshiaki Yatsu, Animal Hamaguchi) and jump to All Japan Pro Wrestling.

The heat for Seikigun vs. Ishingun was insane, the hatred was unreal - it was essentially promotion vs. promotion, but without the consent of New Japan.

    The rest is history.

What year did this angle take place?????
And how long did it play out????

This feud occurred in 1985-86, and played out for about a year.

If I remember corectly, Bischoff swiped the NWO idea from something he saw in New Japan, I think at a Dome Show.

This would be 95-96.

Was that the revival of S.H. or was it the "UWFi" invasion when Muta was "feuding" with Takada?

In short, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral,
I am the very model of a modern Major-General.
