TM4 actually works a pretty neat combination of the MPro style and the Battlarts style. Like LoKi, but good. Honestly, I would have rather seen Ultimo train the new TM, but Sasuke has been known to work his (insane) magic. Don't forget the Osaka Pro Tiger'S Mask. Actually go ahead. He kind of sucks.
As for Dynamite, there are a few guys (shock, all indy guys) who could be worthy of being referred to as "the next Dynamite": American Dragon Jamie Knoble Lo Ki (if he learns to sell)
A lot of people would argue for Donovan Morgan or AJ Styles on that list, but they lack the intensity and the stiffness that DK brought.
"I know its your opinion, but saying that Dynamite stiffing an inexperienced wrestler is justified because he "worked stiff with EVERYONE" and saying that it's not ok for a guy like Bob Holly who works stiff (and in my view hes a lot less stiff than Dynamite) to occaisionally give one of his students a stiff shot or to even yell at them when they screw up just comes off as hero worship to me"
Now, what I'm saying is Dynamite worked his style and it remained constant for everyone. This was a given, you knew what to expect when you worked a match with him, good or bad. Now, for Tazz and Holly to stretch, bawl at for no apparent reason, invade the privacy of and berate a bunch of kids before they begin to teach them the BASICS of the business is bullshit, pure and simple. Now if the situation were like Al Snow's where he lost his temper for a brief instant and stretched a guy WHILE IN THE PROCESS OF TRAINING, I'd defend them both, but it wasn't like that. My beef is that Tazz and Holly did'nt seem remotely interested in training anyone. They both seemed to be there to work off their frustration on a group of people who could be expelled for striking back.
Dynamite did everything he did knowing payback was a likelihood, not just a possibility. For example, he got ganged up on and hospitalized for embarassing the Rougeau Brothers. Do you really think Tazz would have shrugged the incident off as par for the course (like Dynamite did) if anyone from TE1 would have done the same to him?
"All born equal unless you're Canadian Then halfway through decay like Uranium You define what's death-defying Get the most out of life or at the least die trying Are you Evil Knievel jumping a train? Or running with scissors like Frasier Crane? Have really good times doing really bad things ‘Cause the show ain't over ‘til the fat lady sings Like Elton John with his candle in the wind It's hard to blow out a flame as big as him But we've all got to Wang Chung with the Grim Reaper Whether you're Einstein whether you're Beaker Death is certain so it's definitely worth flirtin' Don't expect a bright light no just curtains Life is like a penis most people don't know it But most people suck so they usually blow it"

Remember, Tough Enough is a "Reality TV" show, maybe holly and tazz were told by the producers to play the role of Asshole Trainer guys, to make the viewers more sympathetic to the trials and tribulations of the contestants training (think the show Bootcamp). And then you have the nice trainers that people like, and are sympathetic towards the contestants, so that people dont' get turned off it completely.
See, there's a difference between being an asshole because that's what you've been told to do and being a shithead who spikes peoples drinks as a gag.
But if they weren't told to be play the roles of the Asshole Trainer guys, then what i've said is completely, and totally dumb.
I don't know, ECA, a lot of people believe wrestling is utterly fake, only the hardcore fans/Tough Enough viewers really have an appreciation for the hurt involved. Look again at Foley (since he's our case study) when he first threw a punch he stopped short and stamped on the floor (source: "Have a nice day"), i.e. a pretty intelligent guy thought wrestling was totally fake and didn't follow through to try and hurt the other guy. An inexperienced guy who knows how to bump but not much else shouldn't have to put up with a far more experienced guy shooting on them, they surely wouldn't expect it would they? If we take Tough Enough as a real example of what happens in a wrestling training program then co-operation between wrestlers and to protect the guy you're working with is pushed as the most important aspect, so someone else taking liberties with your body wouldn't be expected. It's one thing for two experienced grapplers to agree prior to the match that they would work strong style, but it's another to just start doing it to someone who has no idea it's coming.
Now I like Dynamite too, I also like All Japan strong style matches. Furthermore, I was an avid follower of UWFi but that doesn't mean Dynamite had the right to work strong style with anyone just because it was him. Wrestlers going into All Japan or UWFi knew what they would get, Foley (or whoever) going into a WWF squash match in an era where Hogan wrestled anything but strong style on top of the card would not have expected to get the tar beat out them for real, and that's the difference. Knowing it's likely simply because it was Dynamite you were facing would only occur to an experienced worker.
"Nobody enjoys a good time more than I do, but this business of yours is as legitimate as a three-legged donkey...which of course is illegitimate because as we all know donkeys have four legs."
I haven't read the book, and haven't seen any of Dynamite Kid's work other than his WWF British Bulldog days, but how can someone who routinely hurt his opponents and ended up crippling himself due to the way he performed in the ring be considered a "good" wrestler? If anything, it sounds like a good thing his career was cut short before he seriously injured someone other than himself.
that'd kill this angle so dead that it'd suck from that point on. Snow should stay with Maven but someone else from tough enough (Josh or Jake if he's in developement) should blind-side Snow and form a tag team with Nowinski. That'd Rule to hell
