No real surprise here. Second straight MVP for Pujols and third overall. The model of consistency since he joined the league in 2001. What a decade.

In his nine major league seasons, he has finished lower than fourth in the MVP balloting just once. He has seven finishes of third or higher. He's amazing.

Does anyone think George would have sounded off this early if the Angels were the team coming up on the Yankee schedule rather than Tampa? They get their two free wins, and George looks like a motivational genius.
