No real surprise here. Second straight MVP for Pujols and third overall. The model of consistency since he joined the league in 2001. What a decade.

In his nine major league seasons, he has finished lower than fourth in the MVP balloting just once. He has seven finishes of third or higher. He's amazing.

Here's a recap from ESPN http://sports.espn.go.com/ mlb/recap?gameId=240501125 I have no clue how you can balk with noone on base. I didn't see it but from the boxscore it looks like he didn't allow a baserunner to reach.
