Atari says they won't be making the release date on a Dungeons and Dragons game because the PSN is not going to relaunch by 05/31. Unless May is longer than I know, that means Sony's not making their end of month target.

Not that it really matters - I use PSN cash cards (or whatever those things are called) for my purchases. I don't trust using credit cards online. I'd rather spring for a prepaid one and use it there. I think it's safer.

End of the week: figure on Sunday and be surprised either. Part of the stuff to come back on would be voucher redemption, so they'd be able to start doing the Welcome Back gifts, though that may trail a couple days behind the store.

It can just be a long process to get from that IP to the actual people behind it.

That's about as specific as they get. Theoretically, this is the fix to get the store running this week (which they say is still the target.)

The Welcome Back giveaways are NOT up. They're still testing on those (but surely must have them done before E3, if they want to live.) If you haven't already or it hasn't worked for you, you ought to reset your password and make sure the email address on your account is actually the one you think it is, because they're liable just to mail out voucher codes to the email addresses registered to the accounts.

...
Q: What’s in the Welcome Back Program? A: To start, all PSN members who had signed up before the outage (April 20, 2011) will be able to select two games for the PS3 and two games for the PSP systems.
For PS3 owners, go to the ‘Welcome Back’ section in the PlayStation Store, and select 2 titles from the following list:
Dead Nation inFAMOUS LittleBigPlanet Super Stardust HD Wipeout HD + Fury
For PSP owners, go to the ‘Welcome Back’ section of PlayStation Store on your PSP system and select 2 titles from the following list:
LittleBigPlanet (PSP) ModNation Racers Pursuit Force Killzone Liberation
Select your first game from “Game 1”, then return to the Welcome Back page and go to “Game 2” to select your second game out of the remaining choices available. This goes for both PS3 and PSP.
In addition, we’re giving access to our premium subscription service, PlayStation Plus...go to the PlayStation Store and under the ‘Welcome Back’ section, select ‘PlayStation Plus: 30 Days Free’, and you’ll be given access to all of the benefits of PlayStation Plus. Note that this will not auto-renew and simply expires 30 days after activation.
Q: Do I get to keep the games in PlayStation Plus forever? A: Content that is free in PlayStation Plus will not be available after your PlayStation Plus time has expired. However, if you decide to join PlayStation Plus, you’ll have access to all of the content you downloaded during your 30 day access for as long as you are a subscriber.
(if you use a PS+ discount to buy a game, that does stay with you forever.)
You have until July 3rd to pick the games out.

Thanks for the advice. I was having the same problem. Thankfully, I am now downloading LBP and only have 251 minutes to go. When the executives at Sony die, I want to be sure to be there to kick them straight in the balls on their way to hell. Sony, I hope you die of a very painful venereal disease.

I already own Little Big Planet - it's a lot of fun. The games I've chosen are Wipeout HD and InFamous.
Oh, and when I get the PlayStation Plus started, I'll probably download all the free games listed on it. Same with the videos.
Edit: I noticed a caveat: any games that are free on PlayStation Plus - will not work after the month is over. Not sure about the discounted games, but still...that kinda sucks. But...meh.
