09/25: Mega Man 9 (PSN) [metacritic] {$10} - in case you haven't heard, faithful recreation/sequal of 8 bit series right down to (optional) screen flicker. I liked played these games, but it was only till many years later (and emulation allowing infinite lives/invincibility) where I was able to actually beat any of them, and this is said to be as difficult as any. Still, at that price, it's hard not to spend the money in support of retro remakes.
09/25: Wipeout HD (PSN) [metacrtic] {$20} - hey, a racing game for PS3. Hover? Anti-Grav? racer living up to the HD name (graphics are universally praised). Levels are ported from PSP (this is basically a remake), the only offline multiplayer drops the graphics considerably, and players may hit a wall advancing thru single player mode, but it's said to be fun and well worth the price.
09/23: Buzz! Quiz TV Bundle [metacritic] - franchise jumping to PS3 and to online interactivity; this means this party trivia game can download new quiz expansion packs on demand (for a price), and you can make up your own from their website. This means there's plenty of questions to avoid repetition (though other elements, like the host, don't work as well) and it's something you have to manage from an exterior website rather than inside the game. Online multiplayer means one person per PS3 system, instead of letting multiple people in the same place play multiple people from another place. And there's no voice chat, but they're working on it.
09/23: Brother's in Arms: Hell's Highway and limited edition [metacritic] - third game in WWII shooter series and showing some of the usual aggravation of sequels where problems with previous versions aren't fixed. Teammate CPU AI is important, but not totally working. Multiplayer is iffy. Everyone seems lukewarm on the game.
09/23: Lego Batman [metacritic] - the same formula, different property. There's a slight twist of playing levels as the villains, but it is the same sort of game (down to the occasional nonsensical puzzle) if you're bored with it.
09/22: BAJA: Edge of Control [metacritic] - hey, a racing game for the PS3. Off road, sim style, very rough learning curve, probably only for hardcore players
09/23: Cabel's Dangerous Hunts '09 - can't find a review. Shooting animals in HD and such.

I've spent all weekend playing the new bikes and am just one achievement away from beating everything, so I would endorse it. And, hey, if you're just getting it now, you don't have to ditch your save file to go back and get the trophies, grumble grumble.
- GEON Emotions {$10} - okay puzzle game, being released one year later than when it came out on XBoxLive
