Yesterday, Sony let it drop that the Vita - the nextgen handheld that was pushed big at E3 - will only make it out in Japan for the holiday season. In Europe and America, it will be not be out in 2012. And then not do so well. This seems problematic from a business standpoint, because the PSP sure doesn't seem to exist as something people are actively putting stuff out there for. It seemed like the Vita had a pretty long lead up that they should've had plenty of time to make the Holidays.
Twisted Metal is also being pushed back to "early 2012." They were due out in October, so they must not be even close. Writing about how you don't want to release the game until it's good sure seems to indicate it's not much good right now.

I haven't been paying attention to the Vita since I'm not much interested, but I was surprised that this was news. Right after the Vita was announced, Future Shop was taking pre-orders with a release date of February 29, 2012. That was a month or two ago already. I just assumed that was official. | Oliver

Really? I didn't hear about FS taking preorders. Looks like I have a stop to make next week!

I don't know if you can do it instore, but you can do so online. Looks like the estimated release date is now March 30. | Oliver

I've often found pre-ordering at games like EB Games and Gamestop is better - they often have great bundles at system launches.
What that said, I still have a stop to make next week.
