There's a $5 flash sale this weekend on various games. If you've been waiting to get Fat Princess, now's your chance.

There's a new version of the PS Vita, slimed down in size and price: $199 and they'll throw in Borderlands 2 and 8MB memory card.

PS+ adds of the week
- Stick it to the Man (PS4) "Ray can suddenly change the world with stickers, transforming his paper universe by tearing it, folding it and using the crazy stickers he finds (along with his awesome new powers) to solve mind-boggling puzzles!"
- Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 (PS3)

Bioshock Infinite is leaving this week.

PSN Store update includes the PS4 version of MLB the Show and multiplayer game SportsFriends. There's a new level pack of Last of Us.

Also, the dialogue for this one was written by Ryan North of Dinosaur Comics. I picked this up for the Wii U but haven't gotten into it yet.

Skullgirls (PS3) is the free game of the week. Various DLC for Free To Play games are on sale.

Brothers A Tale of Two Sons (PS3) and Unit 13 (PS Vita) will leave the store next week.

the PSN update seems a little light this week.

Serious Sam 3: BFE is a glorious throwback to the golden age of first-person shooters where men were men, cover was for amateurs and pulling the trigger made things go boom.

A game that came out of PCs in December 2011!

Speaking of re-releases, Borderlands 2 is out for Vita. They don't have cross save files worked out quite yet. Tomb Raider and Hitman get discounts.

I played this tonight, instead of doing anything I was supposed to be doing. It was good! Kind of feels a little bit like Little Big Planet. Mostly puzzle solving, and a bit of (occasionally frustrating) Avoid The Guard platform jumping with an easy learning curve. Reliably amusing - the script definitely sounds like something that would've come out of Dinosaur Comics. Maybe 3-4 hour of play if you're not good but persistent like me and a little bit of replay value. It's free for me, but it would've been worth the $10.

important updates: I preordered WatchDogs. From what I've heard about the earliest reviews, I don't want to read the reviews and be sad. Also, I'm planning Borderlands 2 for some reason and am very bad at it!

Store releases this week include

A prequel to the original Drakengard, Drakengard 3 (PS3) transports players to a medieval world where six sisters wield special magical abilities. These women have brought peace to the earth with their power. Harmony is disrupted, however, when the eldest sister, Zero, attempts to murder her younger siblings.

Mugen Souls Z (PS3): The undisputed god of the universe, Chou-Chou, returns with her loyal crew for another adventure. This time, players meet Syrma, the ultimate god, who’s out to stop an ancient threat to her world that has recently awakened. 9,999 levels of maniacal mishaps.

Wolfenstein: The New Order (PS3, PS4): Europe, 1960. The tide of World War II has been turned using a new kind of mysterious, advanced technology. A ruthless world power has brought even the most powerful of nations to their knees. The regime now dominates the globe with an iron fist. You are the only soldier capable of rewriting history.

This week's PS+ games are Puppeteer for PS3 and Surge Deluxe for PS Vita. Velocity Ultra (PS Vita) gets removed next week (so only a new Vita game next week.)

Harmonix is doing a Kickstarter for Amplitude for PS3/PS4. 3 days left and just over halfway. Maybe you are interested? I am not sure but I bought in anyway.

PSN Updates includes a pre-order for Destiny. That game doesn't come out until September but putting money now gives you access to the beta.

PS4 games include Transistor, "Transistor is a sci-fi themed action RPG that invites you to wield an extraordinary weapon of unknown origin as you fight through a stunning futuristic city." There's a lot of PS1 Japan ports available and a new Dish app for PS3.

My PS+ subscription runs out in a week and I never remembered to pick up a discounted subscription. Debating letting it just expire while I play thru Watch_Dogs until another discount pack comes up, but then I'd lose access to a lot of stuff.

PS+ additions on Tuesday
- Limbo (PS Vita!)
- Battlefield 4 (PS3; only 20 hours free)

Games leaving next Tuesday
- Resogun (PS4)
- Stick It To The Man (PS4)
- Pro Evolution Soccer (PS3)
- Little Big Planet Karting (PS3)
- Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception Single Player Mode (PS3)

Resogun, LBP:Karting and Uncharted have been free for quite a while, which tends to suggest there's some significant games being added to the system next week. And that's maybe why I won't wait to resub.

In the thrilling conclusion to this story: Gamestop is doing a $10 off sale on PS+ one year subscriptions IF you buy it with Watch_Dogs. This works out great for me and maybe other people? Probably not other people.

Me and the Gamestop employee didn't realize this until after I already paid, but we worked out in the end. Hooray.

PSN store update is basically Watch_Dogs and a lot of little things. Coincidentally or not, fellow open world shooter GTA V goes on sale and Saints Row IV is discounted.

There's a touch version of Lemmings for PS Vita if you miss the early 90s.

Sony will be airing their E3 presentation (06/09) in some movie theaters. Tickets are free but you have to RSVP to get a seat. The list is here. I was thinking of going to the Chicago one as a lark, only to realize it's already sold out in less than 10 hours.

Changes to the PS+ program.
- all new games will be released on the first Tuesday of the month
- all games will be up for a month
- PS4, PS3 and PS Vita will all get 2 new games per month.

They say this starts in July, but they're obviously spending June taking down all the PS+ games which are already up. They're already going with the 2 per system deal.

June PS+

PS4: Trine 2 + Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate
PS3: NBA 2K14 + Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time
PS Vita: Terraria + Mutant Mudds Deluxe

I've got to say PS+ has already been an amazing value. It's actually costing me more in new hard drives :)

I'm sad that I won't be able to buy Ringo's drum kit separately. It actually kind-of ruined my week. I don't need another guitar, and the RB drums/guitar are terrible compared to RB2. Plus, I mean, $250? That's more than some new X-Boxes go for.
