The big ending reveal was Spider-Man, with game play footage - feels very Batman with the lights turned up. It's a "2018" game. A lot of the bigger reveals seemed to be 2018 games - God of War (game play footage shown in a trailer), a remake of Shadow of the Colossus, Monster Hunter: World. Days Gone, their newest survivalist zombie game, didn't get a release though it also had game play footage. I think I made the same jokes about it last year; it looks really good but I can't imagine getting anything out of it than the other games in the same genre. Detroit: Become Human (the android game from last year) got a long run, but no date.
(No sign of The Last of Us 2, come to think of it.)
They did push the PS exclusive content for Destiny 2, showed more of Uncharted Lost Legacy than they had before and announced Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wildes DLC to come out this year. There was also some new characters for Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite and a bunch of VR games I could not care about. The Final Fantasy 15 VR fishing game seemed the worst thing they put out there.
That Spider-Man is going to sell some systems when it comes out if it can match the presentation we saw here.
Can't find the motivation to do other things so I can do this. I think I missed a week. I'm playing some Horizon Zero Dawn, which I really like but also feel totally outgunned. I'm doing quests where Aloy is 6 levels above the recommended level and it's still a lot of dying before I can trick my way into a win.
I can sum it up best by saying I had the Best Buy product page open when I started the presentation in case pre-orders went live as soon as it ended. I closed that tab before the show was over. I don't know.
