Okay, so it's a total chick flick. Granted. I got dragged along because I "made" my girlfriend go see The Mist and I Am Legend. Her philosophy was "you made me cry in two movies, you deserve it".
So, I go and see this flick. Its about a couple who are entering their mid thirties when the husband dies, leaving his wife behind. Before he died, he arranges for a series of letters to be delivered to her, encouraging her to do certain things. Every step of the way, it's something that makes her angry at him and makes her miss him even more.
The build up to the ending is fine, and if you don't at least get a bit choked up a few times, something is wrong with you. REALLY good date movie. (if you are looking for one)
Plus, Hillary Swank is looking surprisingly good in this movie, as is Gina Gershon.
