Wow, Scott's IWA report puts mine to shame. Too bad I'm so LAZY.

I went with Frank, jdw and Steve Yohe to Ruth's Chris steakhouse and then to the Pro Wrestling IRON card in the gymnasium of San Leandro High. HERE'S THE RESULTS!

(Name spellings doublechecked against Jermz' report over here (p072.ezboard.com) if you want to read another report)

The "bell time of 7:30" actually meant that the card started at 8:02
Super Otaku (6'44") El Flaco Loco

Apollo Kahn (DQ before the bell) "Filthy" Frank Murdock

Ron Hed interviewed Jose & Joel Maximo

Sumie Sakai (7'27") Sara Del Ray

Tony Jones Lars Dauger
Jason Pressman vs. Ryan Drago

Jones (5'48" second rope belly-to-belly suplex -> pin) Dauger

Hed interviewed Apollo Kahn

Tony Kozina Kryptonite
Super Diablo vs. Seymour Snott

Diablo (5'47") Kryptonite

"15 minute intermission"

Iron Saints
JD Bishop Vito Thomaselli
Vinny Massaro Sal Tomaselli

I missed this match as I went on a bathroom quest.
Jermz says Massaro won the fall. I'd guess 10 minutes?

for the PWI tag team championship
The SAT's Team KAOS
Jose Maximo Michael Modest
Joel Maximo vs. Donovan Morgan

Modest (11'16" Reality Check [air raid crash/kryptonite crunch] -> pin) Jose

PWI Heavyweight Champion Bison Smith (8'40" Styles clash -> pin) BJ Whitmer

NOAH GHC tag team champions
Bart Blaxson Yoshinari Ogawa
Nigel McGuinness vs. Mitsuharu Misawa

Misawa (11'58" Tiger Driver -> pin) Blaxson

Show ended at 10:30.

Lots of rollup finishes now that I look back on my notes. Huh

Nigel McGuinness was the pleasant surprise of the show for me.

I *still* don't see any of the PWI guys making it to the WWE. I hope they don't mind me saying that.

CRZ comming from someone who has never seen PWI I was wondering if it was done in more of a US indies style involving tons of big spots and crazy moves or more of a Japan style? This may be a cliche but from listening to Modest and Morgan on the LAW they are really doing it for love of the game.

They may WANT the Japan style but to my untrained eye matches for the most part have little to no "flow," almost nonexistent matwork, lots of spots out of nowhere connected by no storytelling and ... well, it just seems very very "Indy." That's perfectly acceptable for an Indy show, mind you, but you have to take Modest and Morgan's comments as those of owners trying to shill their prodcut. That's what good owners do!

Another week, another great satire. Good to see a return for HHH's door even if it has sided with the chief (its still a heel though right?). And what was Spike thinking of looking for some Dudley jobbing in the 3MW match?
