Pro Wrestling IRON "Hot August Fights" 2 August 2002
Fairfield Sports Center
Farifield, CA
attendance: 350 (est.)

Lars Dauger (12'22" head and arm choke) Bart Blaxton

Jett Taylor & Hook Bomberry vs. Apollo Khan & "Dancing" Ric Thompson
Khan (13'21") Bomberry (Bomberry's "debut")

"Shooter" Tony Jones (11'21" belly-to-belly superplex -> pin) Doc Schultz

Boom Boom Comini & J.J. Perez vs. "Air Borne" Vito Thomaselli & Simon "Son of Jimmy" Snuka
Snuka (10'57") Perez

Ace Steele & Danny Dominion vs. Tommy Drake & Bison Smith
Smith (23'12" Bisontennial [Styles Clash] -> pin) Steele

Doug Williams & Vinny Massaro vs. Yoshinari Ogawa & Mitsuharu Misawa [NOAH]
Ogawa (15'33" back suplex -> pin) Massaro

Maxx Justice & Takao Omori [NOAH] vs. Wrestlers, Incorporated (Donovan Morgan & Michael Modest)
Justice (13'20" chokeslam -> pin) Morgan

Conclusion: "Worth the drive." ;-)

Times are mine - timekeeper at ringside was generall 0-8 seconds slow, except for the Steele/Dominion match which they had timed at 17:41 for some reason

I think Steele and Dominion flew in their entire families and sat them next to me because they were LOUD...which was kinda weird, because they were all black and Steele and Dominion aren't. ;-)

Well, uh, I've seen Jushin Liger. Back before his ankle and brain surguries. And, um, La Parka and Santo. Yeah.

You're all so WONDERFUL. Why did they ever have to remove you from the continuity? You'd have made for MARVELOUS stories. You WILL make marvelous stories. And the FIRST story of the new world will be a story of REVENGE! -- The Psycho Pirate, Animal Man 23, May 1990.

DR: I saw Oz and Cutie Suzuki wrestle Akira Hokuto and Bull Nakano at the Norfolk Scope at the first WW3.

It all pales to seeing Ultimo Dragon live vs Eddy Guerrerro in Fairfax back inna day.

I was supposed to go to Nippon a few years ago, but once I realized the number of people I wanted to see that were injured at the time (Kobashi, Chono, Hokuto), I bailed on the trip.
