As someone who's grown sick and tired of the disturbing state that baseball's in, I really hope someone finally stands up to Scott Boras this time. Interesting to note that this article notes that Beltran actually WANTS to stay in Houston, so maybe he'll consider dumping Boras as an agent. It'll probably never happen, but who wouldn't want to see it at this point, because these salary demands are getting out of control.
When the hell did SNITSKYMANIA start to run wild???
Loaiza had just one less win, two more losses, and an ERA half a point lower than Halladay's. He also lead the league in strikeouts. I think if he hadn't choked against Minnesota late in the year, the award would be his.
