a reader forwarded an WWE email to 411...

-Brock Lesnar vs. Eddie Guerrero for the WWE Title

-Rey Mysterio vs. Chavo Guerrero for the WWE Cruiserweight Title
Both Guerreros going for gold.

-John Cena vs. The Big Show for the U.S. Title
Is it worth noting that John Cena is listed first? Hmm...

Can someone explain to me WHY these matches get out beforehand? Does it NOT ruin the suspense of watching Smackdown and RAW and wondering where the next storyline is goingto begin? It's stupid, it's anti-business and it sucks for me, cuz I KNOW Cena is gonna win that belt and I KNOW Eddie is NOT going to win the title, and fuck this "great match five hundred stars match" Eddie and Lesnar will have, that is not the point.

The point is I know and u know Eddie won't win. The one feud/match I have been looking forward too, with the possibility of a Geurrero title run just got shit on. I could suspend disbelief after Wrestlemania XX about a match like this, I cannot before.

Better to slap the tag titles on Brock and somebody else, like Show, rather then have what amount to meaningless matches at PPV's, cuz I ain't gonna buy that shit. Now if Lesnar is a dual champ, he can wrestle for those tag straps and pull off the cowardly pussy heel I aint defending this title routine until Goldberg comes around right before Wrestlemania XX and then we go from there.

But why would I buy a PPV when I know the outcome?

That's the question that's been asked since the beginning of No Way Out's existence.

Caped Boy: Excuse me, ladies. You may remember me as the guy who came to dinner a few weeks ago with underwear on my head. My name is Keith Stat from Milbourne, New Jersey. State bird, the mosquito. And as you may have heard I am recently a crowned class B dungeon-master. So if any of you would like to play D&D today, please speak now or forever hold your peace.
[He chuckles, and there is an awkward silence at the table.]
Caped Boy: Anyone? Alexa!
[Alexa gives him a withering glare.]
Caped Boy: Maybe you would like to join in? We do need a druid, and you have definitely cast a level 5 charm spell on me.
Alexa: In your dreams, douche-bag!
Caped Boy: Douche-bags are hygienic products, I take that as a compliment. Thank you.
[Keith walks off]
Alexa: Ewww!

Three easy reasons:

3) No Way Out 2001 - Awesome Rock/Angle match, awesome Trish/Steph Match, awesomely awesome HHH/Stone Cold match.

2) No Way Out 2002 - Return of the NWO to the WWF. Not that it mattered much in the long run, but it was still surreal seeing them walk out in their NWO colors.

1) No Way Out 2004 - Eddie Guerrero in the M/E???? HOLY CRAP! SIGN ME UP!

Please God...

...let it happen again

There is always the chance that they don't want to go with Brock/Goldberg as a title match (since its a nice marquee matchup with or without gold on the line) and instead make Guerrero vs. Angle the Smackdown title match...

There is also the chance that this is all a flaming pile of horseshit.

Even if this is true, there is ALSO the chance that Vince will change his mind and dump all this between now and No Way Out, and instead go with Lesnar vs. a face-turned A-Train while Eddie is wrestling in the Heat match. Long-term booking is not one of WWE's strengths right now.

Uhhh, in order to hype them up, build interest and make money? Are you saying you'd be more inclined to buy a pay per view if the card were a complete mystery?

But why would I buy a PPV when I know the outcome?

So you can see some good wrestling matches, maybe. If the unknown outcome is of utmost importance, why would you spend 30 dollars just so you'll know Brock Lesnar won a full 15 second before you could read it on the internet. The answer: because simply finding out "Helmsley won" is no fun, seeing the matches is.

fuck this "great match five hundred stars match" Eddie and Lesnar will have, that is not the point.

That is exactly the point concerning every pay per view ever produced.

I actually liked the Kane re-mix theme...the singing is kind of mournful and not just the generic screaming you get with most new entrance themes...
