Seriously, Steiner is the last member of the new Horsemen group there've been rumblings about. Orton, Bautista, Triple H, and Scott Steiner. And it'll be because Triple H and Steiner are both so fond of each other's brutish-ness, they'll have to form a stable.

Dude, you totally made me laugh!

I ask the IWC one simple question:

WHAT the HELL kind of underwear were those?! Did HHH decide, "Hmmm...I need something that looks dirty...emphasizes my chicken legs...has just a bit of pansiness to it...and will demonstrate how small I am...AH! HERE we go! I'll wear THESE!"

I didn't understand the stripping of Triple H. It looked like just another beatdown, even with the shirt-ripping, but when Steiner went to the shoes, I was like, does he have any idea what's going on? Did Triple H even expect the stripping? Weird.

I thought he was selling the leg, too. It IS easy to think, "Jeff Hardy, oh there he goes, botching another spot", but I do believe that was an attempt at ring psychology. He couldn't do his bouncy quick jump up to the ring and he buckled with his "injured" leg. Then, when he went up for the Swanton, he made a point of carefully climbing the turnbuckle, thus furthering the sell job.

Problem is, even if it was just a good sell job, Jeffy has been off his game enough lately that it's impossible to tell.

No shit. Where the hell was HHH's unit? Maybe he was trying out Brock's "cold soak" training before the extremely HORRIBLE segment and was suffering from shrinkage.
Jeff Hardy needs to go. Not just off for a few weeks. He needs to go away. He is going to hurt someone or kill himself soon if he doesn't get his shit together.

Heh Heh, thank God I'm not the kind of woman who gets all up in arms over penises. I was left scratching my head after that segment, but mostly because of the choice of brief design HHH made. I'd look better in those! Oh well, I got money riding on the Steiner match at the Rumble, so I'll just leave it at that and hope the match doesn't suck...

(For those of you expecting me to start a thread about HHH hin his skivvies, hate to disappoint, but I'm more worried about spending quality time with my little sister. Mom has a serious cold.)

I actually think it was a blown spot, and Raven tried to cover for it during the match by breaking out the spinning toe-hold. Look post match, and you'll see the limp, and then Jeff doesn't even try going up the ramp but instead stays on the side of the ramp so he doesn't have to manage the incline. Hopefully, this will convince them to send him on a long vacation.

It looked like a blown spot because Raven was in position for the corkscrew moonsault and then when Jeff slipped, Raven had that "Oh shit" look and then just pulled Jeff down and covered him. It wasn't as bad as the alleged Swanton where he hit the back of his head on Raven's thigh.

This was a bad show, but it didn't have to be. I was actually caught up in the first hour of the show up until Vince's pointless and totally deflating "announcement" that didn't really announce anything.

Still, I watched RAW and actually payed attention to the storylines for the first time in a while, so I guess they did something that worked. After the Vince segment, though, I pretty much dropped all interest in the show. I managed to catch the last segment between Jericho and HBK, and that's doing an effective way of hyping the Rumble for RAW. Too bad they have nothing else going for them.

Here's hoping they find a way to get Austin in the Rumble for the RAW side. Otherwise, it's yet another ultra-predictable Rumble where Brock wins without any drama. It's up to the undercard to tell a story in this one.

So, Bischoff has 30 days to turn RAW around. I'm guessing this is the start of Bischoff becoming even more powerful and this is probably how they'll write Goldberg in to the storylines for WrestleMania. That way, we get the big RAW vs SMACKDOWN! match of our dreams. Intrapromotional matches. They're all the rage.

I guess that's a pretty good way of doing it, but I still can't say I'm too excited at the prospect of two PPV matches between the two in a row, because then it's all about trading wins and that's pretty hard to pull off on TV without it being contrived. Someone has to win at WrestleMania, someone has to get the last laugh at Backlash. They're both equally as good. Wow.

I really hate the Dudleyz.

So who were the fifteen guys that were named/shown to be in the Rumble? I count Shawn, Jericho, Kane, RVD, Batista, Christian, Dreamer, Rosey & Jamal, and Jeff Hardy. Who are the rest?

You missed Rico, Nowinski, and Maven.

That makes 13. I'm not sure of the last 2.

EDIT: yup, there you go. And it's Nowinski, not Stevie.

The sum whole of Raw was of course awful, but it also serves to remind me why I continue to watch Raw. For every bad angle, bad feud and bad wrestlers, there are still little things that entertain me.

For every HHH vs. BPP non-wrestling segment, there is the Sean O' Haire and Nathan Jones vignettes. For every bad women's match, there is Stevie Richards who makes his character work.

I know how great Raw can be, and I keep watching to find out what night they got back to what brought them to the dance.

BTW though, anyone not named Ringmistress should not be discussing Triple H's package on this board. Thank you.

Anyway, nobody has mentioned this I don't think, but I actually liked how the Dudleys and Jericho's disgruntledness (is that a word) tied into Vince's "announcement". It was an effective way of showing that Bischoff isn't in control and isn't doing a good job. Plus it didn't really ruin any good announcement, Vince was just there to plug the best of Raw show.

Let's apply the Three Rules for a Jerry Lawler Match, which someone we know developed:

1. Lawler drops the fistdrop: Nope.
2. Lawler throws the dropkick: Nope.
3. [Lawler's opponent] finds a way to win: Well, sort of, if turning around and getting clocked constitutes "finding a way to win."

Thus, it was very far from being the Greatest Match Ever. And it only took about six hours out of the show, too.

O'Haire's Promo: High marks for production values (I thought it was a commercial for something at first), fifty thousand question marks for content (to quote Bender from the Futurama promo, "What the hell was THAT?")

Mean Gene?

Vince wants phlegm?

HHH gets stripped. Was this trip really necessary?

This is one time I am grateful for the roster split, however. Else, I'd expect to see Al Wilson lying in a casket on Smackdown, when the camera cuts to the doorway --

Thanks alot Raw, I was one of their few defenders and they pull this out. On paper it looked okay but the execution was bad and everything around it like the crowd (was it that silent or was it bad micing) even during parts I thought was going to get huge cheap pops like HHH getting stripped it got no reaction... This show was in difenite need of the SD advantage (heat machine and edits)

-Victoria v. Trish v. Jackie- Oh I wanted th is to be good I was rooting for this, but Jackie messing up her very first move took the steam out of the match. Enough with Jackie put Molly as the number 2 face. All girls really didn't seem to have thier A game on, Victoria when getting pinned by Jackie she didn't even attempt to kick out she just lay there and when 2 hit Jackie let her go. Trish looked the best out of the 3, but even her chops weren't as smooth as they usually are. The ending was okay, pretty vicious head to the ropes/smash with a lid combo. But with less then 3 minutes to work with, they never had a chance to redeem themselves,

-Maven/Test vs. Nowinski/Brown- One positive is that D'lo stopped wearing his ghetto attire. Jebus has the Nowinski/ Maven feud hit a skids, I was actually interested in this, why add the heat killer D'lo into it, I just don't get him. You know it's a bad match that Lawler feels the need to try all his college humor all in one segment. I swear I heard all those jokes from Lawler over 5 years ago.

-Regal vs. Lawler- Good god that was pointless. After defeating Storm/Regal in Oklahoma, Lawler needed to get over and outsmart Regal one more time. Why?

-Jeff Hardy vs. Raven- More WWE smartness, lets take all the stuff that makes Raven unique and lets take it all away. I think the first missed spot horribly done moonsault where Jeff got no distance and crashed knee first. The second one where he ran up the ropes and tripped could be debated, but it did look like Raven was running behind him to catch him, but whatever the case full marks for Raven for covering him immediatley. After the missed spot the fans turned well atleast they weren't quiet.

-McMahon interview- I did like the interuptions especially Jericho's who saw what happened with the Dudleyz and what's to get to Vince when Vince is in a good mood. 30 days to turn it around, uh oh this doesn't sound good, Crash TV for the next month. Crowd started "whating" out of no where, what's the deal with this crowd?. I did kind of miss Vince's over the top speeches. "Choke Raw untill a big piece of phlegm splatters over everyone"?

-Storm vs. BookerT- I guess it was alright, Dudleyz getting a title shot at RR. Why did they drop the BookDust reign so fast. This was decent the best thing on the show so far, which isn't saying much.

-Hurricane vs. Stevie Richards- They got 90 full seconds. Lucky them.

-HHH/Steiner confrontation- This feud has offical gone the way of 90% T&A girls feud. posedown/bikini contest, and now heel gets stripped to her/his bra & panties... I did totally freak out when Steiner was pulling up HHH by the belt I was certain he was pulling his underwear and he was giving him an automic wedgie. I did like for the first time since almost forever they made HHH look the fool. Found it oddly ammusing see HHH no sell nudity.

-Y2J v. RVD v. Kane v. Batista- Why is Batista here instead of Christian? I guess they want to speeders and two power guys. I guess this was match of the night. No real competition it's not saying much. Some good power spots from Batista, nothing really more to remember.

-other stuff- Orton/McMahon interaction was the funniest thing on the entire night... O'Hare promo was interesting and done well, he seems to be like a bad concious, which they have to becareful because with this audience someone telling you to cheat on your wife will probably get a face pop... Bischoff/Okerland exchange was somewhat ironic, it's much more effective to run down old WCW if the current WWE isn't so similar. Washed up announcers? Is he talking about Lawler... Did Raw hype the Dawn/Torrie thing for SD just to remind us that Raw could be worse?... Well atleast Lillian looked extra sexy last night, too bad the only time we got a good look at her is with Lawler in the picture.

Line of the night: Regal "Proper planning prevens a piss poor performance". I liked that line, there was a few Bischoff/Okerland and Vince had good lines as well.

It doesn't help matters with the Nowinski/Maven feud that they were shown last week on Tough Enough as tag team partners. I think it goes to show that without Snow or a veteran holding their hand Nowinski and Maven are extremely green and; especially Maven, should start looking for a room to rent down in Louisville.

Oh well judging from this feedback I wont have to worry about RAW distracting me from getting some work done this Friday.

Raven/Jeff, Lawler/Regal, naked HHH? I guess the mini revival is officialy over.
