Not a bad show, another blooper with Shawn's mike, wouldn't be surprised if Vince fired the rtech guy cause he's so pissed from last night, Raw vs. Smackdown is shaping up well, is Smackdown being taped now?

Triple H calling JBL a foghorn longhorn was funny. Snitsky like shoes? What the hell? Edge was wrong, Benoit lasted the longest. I thought the ref was trying to german suplex Orton for a minute, not a very good ME but cage door spot was good, all round good Raw, bring on Smackdown.

Great opening segment. I can even tolerate Trips' ego-stroking because it's part of the character now, instead of just being a verbal blowjob for no reason....Shelton/Simon wasn't much, but I guess it wasn't supposed to be....I can't STAND that stupid Starburst commercial. While we're at it, the Nike commercial sucks too....Edge thinking Christy was making fun of him was great. And that's one of his best interviews in a while too. Nice job by HBK of ad-libbing with the mic problem....Maven/Hurricane was suprisingly watchable....

On the flip side, the tag title match was surprisingly bad, especially when all 4 men started brawling....Slaughter looked to be in pretty good shape....The Eugene-Forrest Gump commercial is pretty funny. Interesting, the lady reading the RAW magazine is probably the last demographic WWE is after- Middle-Aged Black Women....What does "We're Live as hell!!!" mean, JR?....The tag match was well-done....Snitsky is no Nathan Jones when it comes to ripping doors off things.

Orton plays semi-conscious well. Hopefully they don't use his pinfall win in a tag match as justification to put him in a Triple Threat or to replace Batista at Mania in a title match. How come they never mention the wrestling past of Orton's uncle though? Funny thing about the tag match, as it begins at half past ten, and I'm thinking they really are going to give it a lot of time, or else Batista is going to do something backstage after the match. Five minutes in, I remember that Kane/Snitsky is the main event in a cage match. Shows how much I really care about the feud that doesn't seem like it will ever end.
Was tonite a "Will Get Backdropped For Food" night for Flair. Flair being shot in the ring is something I've reluctantly accepted, but being neutered on the mic by Trip takes away just about all of Flair's value.
They should have Benoit break out the mask in Japan. First time I can remember the name Inoki used on WWF/E TV since Vince Jr. took over the company.
Considering Slaughter used the camel clutch during his turncoat days, it is ironic him getting beat by the same manuever.

This show had no flow and seem disjointed right after the first segment was over. The quiet crowd didn't help matters much either. At times they seemed like they were in front of a WCW television audience.

- JBL sure got a lot of exposure this show. It's good to see them talk about the "other" championship. Triple H got a shot in on both Cena and JBL though, but will anyone on Smackdown return the verbal favor?

- HBK may grow older, but he ain't ever going to change is he? He gives up a fluke win and gets his heat back the next night pretty much blowing off that feud with one swift kick to the jaw. I can see if Edge dominated him and got a convincing win, but a fluke win?

- It's nice to see Benjamin getting some wins as champ, but the man needs a challenger to his title and badly.

- Hassan/ Slaughter wasn't a bad brawl for what they gave it. The Sarge is looking old, but the man can still go. This match also drew a lot of heat, it's a shame the WWE didn't build a *USA* character before introducing Hassan.

- The video package of JBL is playing out a lot like Helmsley *searching* for whomever attacked HBK in the parking lot.

- I think I know what they were trying to do booking the cage match the way they did, but it was either poorly executed or I just wasn't feelin' it. Is this the end of the Snitsky/Kane feud or do they advance to the scaffold?

This was an entertaining show, but hardly the blast off on the Road to WrestleMania. Since they are in Japan next Monday I imagine next week they focus more on workrate and less on story advancement.

That La Res/Chrises tag match seemed weird. It just seems like halfway thru La Res said "fuck it" and kinda went off script. I have a feeling a double DQ finish wasnt what they planned to do. Someone screwed up me thinks.

What? Another segment with a t-shirt gun and no one gets blasted in the heuvos? Has reality gone mad?!

Mayhap this is the end of Simon Dean much like Mordecai. He was killed solid by Shelton who even came back to the ring post-pin to show off at his expense. If this is the end, good. Simon has done nothing since getting a ton of TV exposure, time that could have been used for a slew of other talent to establish themselves.

Slick finisher for Maven tonight. Don't think I've ever seen that before. The only thing close would be the Goldust slingshot into the knees.

"Nice shoes." Ha! I was creeped out, hoewver, by the camera leering at the divas alongside Gene.

I switched channels during the Dream team match.

I don't know what was SUPPOSED to happen in the Chrises/La Res match, but that ended ugly with what looked like the third Walls set-up for the finish. La Res has been sloppy lately.

I'm very curious about the RAW is Sushi show next week.

Damn, I gotta hand it to Sarge. He's dropped some major lbs.

RAW was pretty good up until the lackluster main event. How many more times are Kane & Snitsky going to fight one on one?

I'm hoping that Jericho & Benoit have a blow off match next week and get another shot at the tag titles at 'Mania. I like these two better as partners than opponents.

So are Orton & Stacy an item in "real life" or something?

Gotta disagree -- the DDQ fed right into the Jericho/Benoit confrontation backstage, which was intended to put a little heat on the submissions match next week. Yeah, the match was crap, and La Res did look like they were having trouble keeping track of where they were supposed to be, but I don't think it got that much out of hand.

Major omniscience error (maybe) - at this point, there's what, a 0.05% chance that HHH isn't *somehow* responsible for the JBL video? So HHH is exposing his "OMG! I just now, at this moment, had a great idea!" for Batista to take over SD! to Ric Flair in a private dressing room? The camera usually doesn't exist in the dressing room. Unless Flair isn't in on the plan (unlikely).

Does the Jericho-Benoit backstage "tiff" rank anywhere on the Snitsky-Heindenreich scale for homosexual undertones?

Speaking of Snitsky, both he and Kane were standing on the steps, one step away from winning the match. Are you serious? The impression I got from the chokeslam-pinfall ending, and no after-match antics is that maybe the feud is over? Is the interpromotional tag match really set in stone? At least we could have had the lights go out, with an Taker bong to remind Snitsky that he's a dead man for interfering in his casket match.

Good RAW. I like the tension between RAW & Smackdown. The Diva Search Losers are now officially the worst actresses in the history of modern television. They attempted to convey fear of Snitsky, and made me fear their shitty acting. No more...no more.

Also, according to this week's (and last week's) RAW: Batista is better than La Resistance combined, but Chris Benoit & Chris Jericho (both former World's Champions) combined are not, therefore Batista is better than Jericho & Benoit combined. Great booking, guys.

Definitely. For a moment I was almost sure they were going to start making out as they passionately described how each "brings out the best" in the other. This tiff angle seems a little out of thin air to me. Is it just a rushed excuse for the match in Japan, or is a heel turn looming for Benoit?

Seeing Snitzky and Kane both climbing up the cage side-by-side reminded me on how they both almost looked exactly how the wrestling characters on the WWE Playstation 2 games do when they very very very slowly climb up the cage in the "cage match" part of the game.

Maybe after the mysterious promo getting on the air, continued pushing of the wildly unpopular Orton, the hideous final two minutes of that Benoit/Jericho tag match, a main event they've seen 25 times too many, and the multiple technical problems during the show, they just thought they WERE a WCW television audience.

Agreed! He looks so much better in the ring now that he's dropped the poundage.

Admittedly he wasn't in there long tonight, but a pop-in from him is always welcome.

I've seen Alex Shelley do it a couple of times, but I *think* Shelley holds the guy's wrists, with the opponent's arms in an "X" in front of him.

It looked pretty sweet, though, and I think I might actually like Maven's version better -- holding the head adds a nice neck snap to it.

I just couldn't watch this week's show (meaning that I just couldn't bring myself to not change the channel every 5 minutes or so). It just didn't do anything to draw me in.

But I have to say that Randy Orton does the "brain damage" bit really well.
