RAW Thoughts:

RVD/Booker was great. I think RVD should start every show, he just gets me pumped up for it. RVD made the Book look more legitimate than anyone has in a while (and did you HEAR the pop for the Spinaroonie? Turn him, dammit!).

I was on my feet for Eddy's return. He looked great and I've always loved the pop up/sneer following a frog splash beatdown. Now all he needs to do is slap his chest in that arrogant manner.
Vince - eh. I didn't really care. Didn't overly disturb me to see it, but I just took the chance to make a sandwich.

Spike/Regal - The bit with Nick Patrick stealing the knucks was awesome. Unfortunately, it also made the ending really predictable. I always mark out for that half-nelson suplex, though. WICKED!

Taker/HHH - I'm really digging Taker lately, so this is fine with me. If HHH's knee problems are too bad, there are a lot worse people to drop the belt to than Taker. And yes, the sister line ruled.
Raven/Buh buh - Dammit, Raven jobs. Sure, I like Buh buh (and I'm glad the Bubbabomb is his official finisher now), but I wanted Raven to get some cred/heat back with a more extended run. Somebody needs to keep the Hardcore belt for more than a show if they ever want it to mean crap. It hasn't been worth a damn since Raven's last run with it into Wrestlemania X-7.

Hardys/Bossman - Perfect - This was pretty much the low point for me. I used to love the Hardys but, really, who cares about this match? The Brock run-in was cool, though, especially that nasty triple-powerbomb on Jeff. Good to see them putting over a newcomer.

I have no idea how Molly works as a heel, but I thought the crack of the paddle looked good, even if it was pre-cut. Trish sold it well, too.

Kane/X-pac - The NWO just suck more and more each week, but I enjoyed Kane at least. His no-selling was cool this time, as it kind of formed the storyline for the match rather than being arbitrarily big-man-ish (that's not a word, but screw it).

Austin - I didn't see the April Fool's coming either, but enjoyed it. The Stunner on Ric didn't bother me, as...well, Austin's always been willing to stun everybody, whether they're face or heel. Remember when he stunned a face Taker right after they fought off the Harts together? IT's just one of the basic elements of his character.

What about RVD's reign last summer? I think he turned out to be the best hardcore champ they have had. I'd put Raven's pre X-7 reign a notch or two below RVD's (Blackman had a good one too in 2000).

In general I thought RAW was good, there was stuff for the casual fans to like and some for the Attitude watchers; basically the same thing the WWF has been doing for months now, which isn't bad. I thought the return to T&A just to give Terri a reason to get time was just lame...if they make her just a manager that would be good enough (and yes her torso is nasty, as per the other thread...it's called GAIN SOME WEIGHT.) Molly getting into a feud with Trish will be good, but they had Trish all set up for a win over Jazz to get the title back so I'm somewhat upset. It will also suck if Jazz is on Smackdown just to fight Ivory---the division still needs a good heel team and they should definately stay together.

Ok, lets review what happened on this Raw.

- New belt. Retiring of the old WWF and WCW belts.

-10 minute RVD/Booker T match

- Eddy returns

- Molly turns heel

- Bubba Ray wins the Hardcore title

- Excellent Taker/HHH promo

- Austin stuns Flair for the first time

- Last Austin/McMahon promo for a long time or ever depending on how well things go.

- Austin signs with the WWF

- Austin stuns Vince for the last time

Jesus, what more do you people want?

Three solid Raws in a row, can it be, yes, the WWF is coming out of the slump. I have to say the first hour felt like they loaded a ton of things into it, but thats a good thing. I think they need to create some better tag teams than people who where in the WWF circ 1989. Other than that, Raw is not as weak as we thought.

A Fan- Ok, now you can judge.

I also liked RAW.

Some highlights:

Booker T doing the spineroonie the way he did it in WCW, which is most proper.

The run-ins were mostly done after the match--only one Dusty finish, courtesy of the nWo.

Jeff Hardy looked like he was in Oz (the prison) over the weekend.

Molly becoming heel. Probably doing a gimmick reflecting the fact she is a real born-again Christian. Hopefully what she will do can help take women's wrestling out of being just titillation and be instead something fierce. It most likely won't be RTC-type, since it is already played out.

Vince getting cut off.

nWo being relegated downward. Good. Maybe Nash will shut up about being called a bitch, since he is.

Problems:
Too much Vince and Flair. When he was commish, Mike Foley's appearances were timely, dramatic and effective. Vince and Flair are doing it a little too much.

The run-ins tending to overrshadow the matches. The matches should be the most important parts of the show.

I'm with A Fan. I haven't felt this way after a Raw in a long time, that was one hot show. I could have done without the Austin spot as the main event, they should have put it before the Kane/X-Pac match. I was on the edge of my seat the whole two hours, good stuff. Eddy! Eddy! Eddy!

Real born-again Christians break wooden paddles over people's heads?

Damn. Count ME out of Sunday service.

It's hardly the most effective of recruitment methods. BUT, on the plus side, people with concussions are probably a lot easier to talk into volunteering and donating money. (:

I thought this was a good show (of course, I'm a realist, I know good and well that there WILL be interviews, and you are not going to get wall-to-wall wrestling matches, so I don't feel the need to complain about wanting something to happen that I know will NEVER happen). The segments for the first time in while seemed like they had direction. Even the T&A match seemed to have a point (I had many ideas of what Molly was going to do with that paddle, but smashing it over Trish's head wasn't one of them! That was cool.)

The only stupid segment was the magical transportation of the APA's office. There had to be a better way to handle that (heck, why couldn't they just had the nWo sitting in a recreated APA office, explaining that they just decided to have someone pick up the pieces for them and create their own, since if anyone deserves an office, it's the nWo. OK, it's still stupid, but at least it doesn't require magic).

But I can live with one stupid segment a show.

I felt RVD's Hardcore title reign was too long. How many ways can you have him win? I think it wouldn't have been so bad if they hadn't had him defend it, like, every show.

Kofi shouldn't be anywhere near a title match yet. He's a longterm prospect. Win or lose at TLC, Sheamus is not. Having Kofi either a)win the title in a meaningless tables match or b)
