| #41 Posted on 21.5.02 1726.50 | I didn't mind the false finish in the main event. It even made sense to me that Flair would restart the match. I mean, Flair knows better than anyone right now that counting a pin when someones foot is on the ropes isn't a good idea. So, not wanting Undertaker to get pissed, and not wanting anymore Wrestlemania moments, Flair restarts the match. He was the one, afterall, who made it a title match in the first place.

| #45 Posted on 21.5.02 2123.37 | During the Mugs segments, I could only think of WCW. All those trips to bars in the last 2 years came right back. Hall getting beat down by Nash in the bathroom, the gay bar visit by Big Poppa Pump. The segments that lasted forever! I was wondering who the heel was in the segment. Let's see, Eddy buys Austin a drink, gets Debra a bear and Austin refuses it. Eddy is sitting there trying to get some and Austin comes over to f with him? But Austin is the Face? Vince needed to be there to make sure it was done right? How hard was that to film? Geez. I don't know...I just am frustrated right now.

| #48 Posted on 21.5.02 2210.25 | There was a part that definitely required it to be pre-taped involving a close up of Eddy and then a wide angle shot from another camera. That is just sad that they had time to edit that and still came up with that.

| #49 Posted on 22.5.02 0018.33 | Thank you very much Kawshen for that image. When it's HHH vs. UT at the next ppv I can look at this and remember a ray of hope. As for those who say the WWE elevated Eddy and RVD last night, one night does not an elevation make. The last person to truly be elevated and given the chance to stay there was HHH. Since then they've done half-ass jobs where guys never really get a chance to establish themselves because the top guys never give them a clean win. If in 3 months RVD is not shunted back down to the midcard, and Eddy's not feuding with Rey Misterio, then I'll call them elevated. But if it ends with Eddy eating a barrel of stunners after no real give and take, and RVD's hour at the topcard being forgotten, I do hope for some apologies from the board denizens here.

Your predictions look eerily prescient. Vince couldn't get Undertaker to do jobs to Kevin Nash or Kurt Angle, why on earth does anyone think he'll do a job for RVD? Bottom line is, WWE _is_ WCW...management caters to the talent over every supposed "job," with only the second tier guys doing anything resembling clean jobs. Kevin Nash offered to quit, relieving them of a $750,000 downside guarantee, and they TURNED HIM DOWN!
Vince is in a week to week ratings panic. Nearly every post-PPV RAW is accompanied by a small bump in ratings, but post-JD ratings actually went down. This is so unusual, it can only be viewed as a total rejection, top to bottom, of the current product. Instead, certain forces will try to spin the downturn against elevating guys like RVD and Eddy, and Vince is either too stupid/egotistical to acknowledge that his alleged "locker room leaders" are a serious problem.

| #51 Posted on 22.5.02 0610.04 | | does anyone think that because the rosters have been split its the wrestlers on raw who are taking the blame for the shitty ratings after the ppv and not the smackdown roster? i know that the smackdown roster is better than the raw one but they ALL wrestled at the ppv (which was pretty horrible) and so people switch off on the next show (raw on mondays). wheras before if people stopped watching because of a shitty ppv it was EVERYONES fault now it is the raw rosters fault. (and yes i know that raw stunk like john wayne gacy's basement but ride this one out with me) | dskillz

Or, more importantly, the main event/overrun ratings, as well as next week's. Maybe more people will tune in now that RVD got Dusty Finished out fo the title, whereas this week could have been the result of fans expecting more of the same crap from UT. | | Pages: Prev 1 2 3
