Seeing as how 2002 was one long twelve-month example of how much one wrestling company could suck despite having the deepest talent pool in history...Smackdown hasn't sounded TOO bad, but Raw might as well be WCW.

What, beyond ditching the roster split, firing the entire Raw writing team, giving the Smackdown bookers 100% authority, and putting Triple H out to pasture can they do to turn things around?

Hiring La Parka might do the trick.

Wow, I can't believe my 700th post was so dumb.

You didn't say anything about tying up Steph, putting her in a burlap sack filled with cats, and throwing her into the ocean.

am i the only one who actually likes the roster split? i was really sick of seeing the same guys in the same feuds twice a week. i mean, once a week is still a lot, but it's only half as bad. it's true that it hasn't gone as well as people wanted it to, but that still doesn't mean they should can it. besides, to use the popular complaint, do you really want to see triple h burying kurt angle and brock too?

Well, if you had actually paid attention to my whole post, you'd notice that getting rid of Triple H was a part of my plan...that way, instead of dragging Raw down to hell with him, he'll be on a street corner somewhere with a sign reading "I Will Wrestle You For Food-Uh"...

Now, I'm sure there are plenty of things some of us on this board could think to do with Steph that would still keep her away from programming without polluting the ocean with cats.

And I'm a fan of the roster split as well. Without it, I'd see a lot of my favourites rarely and several I can't stand multiple times a week.

yeah, i read it.. just giving an example. hence my prefacing it with "besides...".

i'm mostly saying, having two "main" wrestling shows a week is a bit much. the roster split lessens the impact of that by at least having some variety. there are too many people complaining about things, and then bitching when they change. people wanted something different, they got the roster split. they stopped liking that, they asked for there to be a real difference between the shows, and now they got that. you gotta give an idea time to prove itself.

I have selfish reasons for my dislike of the roster split: St. Louis doesn't have a UPN affiliate, so all I see of the Smackdown side are highlight clips, Velocity, and the PPV matches.

Either way, only the Smackdown side seems to have half a clue about booking coherently...

it's hard for me, since my favorite wwe wrestlers right now are hurricane and booker (and i still have a soft spot for jeff hardy, since the boyz have been my favorite tag team since i first saw them).. and the better show is smackdown. so, what to do?

Not really; Heyman is really starting to show his booking limitations now, recycling some old ideas and trying out bad new ones. And Raw's roster has much more depth to it than SD's. That said, I enjoy both shows and I find it hilarious that some people still find the energy to totally ignore any improvements and focus on the bad. Must be great being a cynic.

Here's a list of people I'd like to see on TV, just to change a little and to see if they can breathe new life into WWE.

1. Shane McMahon

Easily the most entertaining McMahon, it would be worth it just to hear his music. Here comes the money!

2. Vince McMahon

Vince needs to step up and show some balls out there. Maybe (as someone else suggested) he can struggle with Bischoff for power on Raw.

3. Mick Foley

Mick's probably none too pleased with this idea, but a little humore now and then wouldn't be a bad thing.

4. Bret Hart

Bringing in the Hitman would be one hell of a shock for Vince, and I think it would convince the majority of the IWC that he actually cares and he's not just keeping the ship afloat.

I also don't think the split should be scrapped. I can think of a handful of guys who might not be on TV if the split were scrapped.

Billy Kidman
Chavo Guerrero
Chuck Palumbo
Bill DeMott
Jamie Noble
Nunzio
Nidia
Charlie Hass
Shelton Benjamin
Batista
Hurricane
Crash
Maven
Christopher Nowinski
Al Snow
Rico
Jamal
Rosie

Plus, we'd have Edge & Christian teaming up again, the Hardy Boyz would be back together and Triple H would be the only champion. Add all this together with the fact that Jericho would be made to look like a jobber on both shows instead of just one, and you have one hell of a problem.

Continue to add suggestions. See, I'm an ignorant mark who doesn't know what's REALLY entertaining in wrestling, so I need to be told what's entertaining instead of deciding for myself.

Wait a minute. So you are now insulting the posters who gave answers to a question YOU posted? Is that what you meant by those two sentences?

Well, here's my suggestion for you. Start watching Everybody Loves Raymond and Still Standing.

Those poor cats. What did the cats ever do to you? Why not fill the bag, with, say, mosquitos?

Given the fact that about 99% of the 'net commentators take the attitude of "you're an idiot if you don't see things my way", sometimes I FEEL like an ignorant mark, thank you very much.

But yes, Vince can come back and feud with Al Wilson for lovely Dawn's affections.

From the infamous Wrestleline SS interview:

DTD: If you were to make changes in WCW, if you were in charge and not Ric Flair, what would they be?

SS: I'd get rid of all the old guys, and push the talent that has waited to get the push. The things they are doing, it's back in the 1980s. It's just bad, man. Flair doesn't even deserve to be on the show. You've got to get rid of all the old guys. Like what Vince did, they started pushing guys. Nobody knew who The Rock was 2 years ago. He made The Rock. Now The Rock just did Saturday Night Live. You've got to start with the young talent, talent people can relate to. Who are we trying to relate to if we've got a 50 year old man out there? Are we trying to relate, so a 50 year people and above will go out and buy a f*cking little toy? That ain't gonna happen. It's a f*cking joke.

Does it remind you of any show in particular?
