Farfetch'd was available here for a week or so. Zangoose/Seviper and Solrock/Lunatone switched hemispheres. Minun was originally exclusive to the eastern hemisphere too.
The other regionals I have - Heracross, Corsola, Mr. Mime, Kangaskhan (and Unown for that matter) - I got through dirty cheating. If you're trusting/dumb, find someone in the appropriate part of the world to use your account and catch what you need. Otherwise use a hacked version of the app to spoof the GPS and then you can be anywhere. Though that second one is super risky and I don't recommend it - I know people who lost Level 40 accounts for 3 months and counting because they were spoofing regularly.
I've never had a spoofing app on my own phone and only got a few of the above guys from spoofing (2 Unowns, 1 Heracross, 1 Corsola, I think - the rest were me being trusting/dumb). Now I just trade with spoofers and that works out much better.

Updates on these:
- They just introduced new rules around cheating. On the first offense, you get a 7-day soft ban (you get warned but you can keep playing, though you won't find anything but common Pokémon for a week). On the second offense, you get a 30-day ban. Third offense and your account is permabanned.
- My spoofer friend traded me a Volbeat and a Relicanth for two garbage Rattatas. Hoping he can get an extra Torkoal and Tropius for me before he eats the banhammer again.
I did decide to put $20 in so I could pick up some extra raid passes for this. I think I went 0 for 8 on catching a shiny Zapados for the hour I tried. That part was disappointing. I still ended up with a lot of Rare Candy, enough to take care of two Pokemon I hadn't evolved yet, so that part was a win.
I went for a dozen Zapdos raids. Caught 8, 4 ran, no shinies. Probably 50+ people starting out in our raiding group but it fell off hard once the free passes were gone. We met up with other groups along the way too. Saw others out while I was on my way home.
I mostly remembered to Lucky Egg and Star Piece the whole time. Except when I didnt.
One guy went on a loud swearing fit because we weren't breaking into teams as accurately as he'd have liked. The organizer of the meet-up had to tell him to settle down.
One little kid with a Pikachu hat joined us too late and missed a raid so we made sure to get him into the next one and he caught it! and was so happy
Hey! An egg KJames199 sent me gave me a Grimer + 15 Grimer candies I needed to evolve it to Muk. That's the only Pokemon left I needed to evolve from Generation 1. I was so happy when I saw it come up and I thank you for it even though you have no control over it.
Only need to walk 237 KM to evolve my Quilava next. Don't think that's happening this year.
Getting a Raikou for September training is a nice improvement over a Snorlax.
