On a secondary note, if you don't collect them all, how are you supposed to get the 151st Pokmon, Mewtwo (not counting Pokmon Gold/Silver, of course)?

Mewtwo is #150. You catch him in the cave north of Cerulean.
MEW is #151, you can only get it via a Gameshark, or at Nintendo-sponsered events.
