I have been efforting to find a wrestling podcats that is funny, informative and entertaining. I used to listen to Monday Night Meltdown/PWR. The hosts are obsessed with schmoozing C level talent, promoting indy shows, and talking about wrestlers they've drafted in a fantasy wrestling competition. I gave them a listen because they are local guys with a TV show. Any suggestions on a better podcast?
I like www.wrestlingroundtable.com I would recommend their youtube channel as well. Bunch of Philly/New York guys who bullshit about wrestling and MMA. I will say their host seems to be a mark for himself, but really anyone who runs a podcast is probably a mark.
The Wee Baby Sheamus.
Twitter: @realjoecarfley its a bit more toned down there. A bit.
if you count internet radio shows that are re-playable via i-tunes as podcasts; I like some stuff from blogtalk like Diva-dirt & Greg DeMarco/411mania + pw247radio.com like Shoot Finish, Gorilla Blood and 3 Way w/ Fire & Ice. I Also subscribe to gerweck.net , Aftermath w/ Arda Ocal & Jimmy Korderas and Ringbelles Women of Wrestling podcasts as well as the aforementioned Art of Wrestling.
We're back! Five years ago we did a 2 part series detailing the history of Wrestlemanias I-XXII, and now we're back to finish the job. Joe, Justin Shapiro, & Matt Foy are back to recap Manias XXIII-XXVIII. Topics include retcons in Wrestling, Kurt Hawkins & Alex Riley: Mania main eventers, MITB @ Mania: yea or nay?, inexplicable World War III discussion, the ballad of Mr. Kennedy, previewing Mania XXIX, Matt vs. David Simon, Justin vs. traffic, and Joe vs. staying awake (and the world). Tired of Mania talk? Too bad! A monstrous 2 hour (!) show!
Chris Jericho appears on the latest episode of the Adam Carolla Show, by the way. Haven't had a chance to listen to it yet though.
Originally posted by http://www.adamcarolla.com/chris-jericho/Chris Jericho chats with Adam and the gang about pro wrestling, the Yakuza, and injuries from Dancing with the Stars. Later, the guys play a round of Hobo Power and go through the day's news.
Amy "Lita" Dumas is on Colt Cabana's new one too. I downloaded that & Jericho's but chose Amy's first (because I don't like Carolla...the last time I DLed one of his podcasts was for Ben Folds and just found Carolla to be a really obnoxious host). I really respect how far out of wrestling world she has taken herself in "retirement." Most of the podcast is about her time in Mexico, they barely discuss much of her WWE time in any real detail, but still a great listen. I'll get to Jericho's on my commute Monday.
No "theory" here. I have three sons, ages 7, 5, and 18 months. They aren't allowed to watch, even though I watched the AWA at age 7 (or earlier). The programming is very different now than it was then.
