I gotta say this was one of the best games I've watched so far this year (League Pass rules, BTW). I just want to bring up some brief notes:
- Tayshaun Prince with the gamewinning THUNDERDUNK. I wish I had recorded that. It was SICK. - Rip Hamilton had 30 points on 5-18 shooting. How is THAT possible? 20-20 from the line. - Detroit only had 8 players available. Sheed,Rip and McDyess fouled out and they were down to 5 which means DARKO~! got to play. - He did little to nothing for my team, but picking up Antonio McDyess was a great move for Detroit provided he stays healthy. His rebounding and scoring payed dividends here.
- The Cats had numerous opportunities to win this but they turned the ball over and missed key free throws. Expansion team so it's understandable but this is fundamental stuff here - especially the free throws. - I've come to the conclusion that the Cats really aren't as bad as the 1-8 record says. They bust their asses and try very hard - but they're just not very good and can't close games out. They probably would be 4-5 right now had they won the games they were in a good position to win (including this one). It was 102-97 Cats with about 40 seconds when Sheed hit 2 CLUTCH 3s and sent the game to OT. - If Emeka Okafor hits that wide-open last second shot, people would be talking about how an expansion team beat the Champs. He looked pretty down after the fact. Poor guy.
