Consider the following: Chris Jericho is scheduled to face Muhammad Hassan on the May 27th, 28th & 29th RAW brand house shows running through Tacoma, Vancouver & Victoria respectively. WWE.com's house show cards list Rowdy Roddy Piper as accompanying Jericho to the ring on those three dates.

Is Piper going to RAW, or is this just a one-time (er...three-time) gig?

I wouldn't mind having Piper in a "personality" or even "authority" role, or as an interviewer or manager or talk show host... just keep him the hell away from actual wrestling matches.

Austin is doing "guest referee" spots during the Smackdown UK tour later this year just as a special attraction. I imagine the Piper thing will be the same deal.

I can't remember when the draft is rumoured to be taking place, but are those shows taking place after it? I was hoping Jericho would be on Smackdown by then.

The draft lottery should be held before the end of this month, at least if we're to go by what Vince said on TV.

Still, the house show cards are irrelevant when it comes to determining who's going to switch shows. They are, after all, Subject to Change.

As for Piper, I found him underwhelming during his Smackdown run, and I can't see him as a manager. And one interview "show" per brand is plenty. So, with all due respect to his past accomplishments, I hope it's just a temporary appearance.

Reports are saying that The Draft will take place on either the May 23rd RAW in Green Bay or May 30th RAW in Calgary.

I think i've said this before, I don't remember, but I don't see why they would move Jericho. I think the guys the move in the draft are going to be to refresh the shows and give pushes to the guys who swap (SHelton, Dudleyz, Booker for example all got pushes on their new program last year). But as long as Jericho hasn't re-signed with th WWE I don't see why they will push him. I think they are content keeping him on Raw and jobbing him to all the guys they want to put over.

Yeah, but Jericho's already jobbed to everyone on Raw. I can't think of anyone other than the lower card guys like Simon Dean or Maven that he hasn't lost to on multiple occasions.

If he really isn't going to re-sign (which I don't believe for a second anyway) the best thing to do would be to move him and have him put over some new guys like Carlito on his way out.

I don't really see your point in saying Booker or the Dudleys were moved as a way to push them. From what I recall they did nothing on Smackdown that they weren't already doing on Raw. Booker got pushed for about 2 weeks as some sort of B-show rebel, teaming and feuding with RVD (the same guy he was teaming with on Raw), then settled back into the same position he always does. I can't for the life of me even remember anything the Dudleys did before their terrible angle with The Undertaker. Benjamin was the only guy in the whole draft to get anything out of it, so if anything he's the exception to the rule.

I agree the draft should be about freshening both shows up and giving different guys a chance to shine, but that's exactly what everyone was saying last year and it didn't happen.

Piper lives in the Pacific Northwest (Oregon I belive), so that's probably why he's taking those string of dates. I personally always liked Piper, and hope that he can be a full time personality on either show.

Not to go off-topic, but I disagree with this a bit. Shelton & Tajiri went to RAW, and look what happened to them in the past year.

Theodore Long became an entertaining GM, and Edge is now Mr. Money In The Bank.

Quite so, I think the 2004 Draft Lottery definitely has to qualify as a success. Shelton Benjamin, Tajiri and Theodore Long were good examples. Shelton's always been a phenomenal athlete, no question, but who the hell would've thought a year ago that we'd now be considering Shelton as a viable contender to not only win the World Title but have one hell of a run at the top? (C'mon, WWE!)

But let's not forget that the Draft Lottery, by forcing Paul Heyman's run as SmackDown! General Manager to end (unfortunately), created added depth to the Kurt Angle/Eddie Guerrero feud when Angle was named GM. And when Triple H was drafted to SmackDown, Eric Bischoff traded The Dudley Boyz and Booker T to get him back. Booker's had a U.S. Title reign, WWE Tag Team Title reign and has competed for the WWE Championship, while The Dudleyz won the WWE Tag Team Championship and even main-evented a SmackDown pay-per-view (unfortunately, it was a bad PPV, though).

So, I wouldn't go so far as to say the 2004 Draft Lottery was an unqualified success, but I'd definitely say it was successful, and I'm interested to see how it'll play out this year.

Back on topic... um... PIPER RULEZ~!!!!111!!!

I disagree. I want Theodore Long to go away. He's slow, boring, has nothing to say and has stupid catchphrases.
