I was thinking of how dead-on the Rock would've been in his promo had he mentioned Scott Rolen instead of Mike Schmidt.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't know of a time when the city turned on Schmidt.

On the other hand, Rolen was their best player and got booed every game during the last year. He had a dispute with a hard-ass manager and the fans all sided with the manager. I can't think of anyone at Rolen's level so cruelly run out of town. I don't even think they got much in trade for Rolen when they unloaded him.

Let's see: Philly Thirdbaseman, best player on team, booed every game, cruelly run out of town...turn back the clock to the 1960's and we could be talking about Dick Allen.

Patiently waiting to be Stratusfied.

Shakespeare might have had a few goods ideas after all. I'm guessing you mean Bill would probably explain through prose the similarities between the two cases, 'cause I ain't seeing it.
