The Knicks have scheduled a press conference to announce that Phil Jackson and all his rings is bringing his act to NY to join James Dolan's three ring circus. This will probably end poorly, and since this is on Tuesday I can still see Phil backing out at the last minute, but hey, why not ... It can't be worse than Isaih, right?
This is going to be a shitshow. I hope Phil takes a lot of acid before making any decisions. His interviews would be entertaining as hell and the moves couldn't be any worse than what's happened since Jimmy D took over. The team is fucked as long as he's in charge, no matter who they bring in. I switched allegiance to the Nets when they moved (not much better, but at least the crazy Russian is different) so now the Knicks are like an ex-girlfriend who turned to drugs and hooking after the breakup; it's sad, it's a mess, but I can't help checking up once in a while.
ESPN's Peter May sez: Two years ago, the New Jersey Nets thoroughly stunned the basketball world. Last year, they simply did what everyone expected them to do. Kenyon Martin should finally make the East's All-Star team at power forward. This year?
