A baseball season without Gammons a couple times a week is going to be weird Click Here (usatoday.com)
I'll admit that Gammons has lost a little off his fastball over the years due to age and health, but he really has become a fixture during the dog days of summer and was almost always interesting. Hopefully, he can still pop up during key moments on a part time basis.

This really is the best news ever. I thought I had no use for ESPN for baseball coverage before since MLB Network launched, but they just took my apathy towards the Leader to a new level.
This is probably the first time in a while that I can think of The Leader letting someone leave on their own terms and giving them a somewhat classy sendoff.
Compare that to the way Dan Patrick was magically erased from history when he left the network.
To be completely off-topic, the Sox may have learned how to properly use NESN, but that doesn't stop from HATING Don Orsillo. Sean McDonough and Jerry Remy are great together, Orsillo just blows.
