Originally posted by People for the Eating of Tasty Animals (PETA) PETA’s New Comic for Kids - a Real-Life Horror Story!
PETA activists - including cuddly, costumed raccoons and foxes - are making guest appearances outside performances of The Nutcracker across the country this holiday season with a cheeky message of compassion. As children arrive to see the "Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy," some will be unaware that their mothers are already starring in a real-life horror story! PETA will be there to greet any fur-clad moms and their children with their newest anti-fur leaflet-PETA Comics presents..."Your Mommy Kills Animals!"
Kids will see the bloody truth behind their moms’ pretentious pelts. Accompanied by graphic photographs of skinned carcasses and animals languishing on fur farms, children will read: "Lots of wonderful foxes, raccoons, and other animals are kept by mean farmers who squish them into cages so small that they can hardly move. They never get to play or swim or have fun. All they can do is cry-just so your greedy mommy can have that fur coat to show off in when she walks the streets."
I heard on the radio that they will give this to any child with a parent wearing fur, and that it encourages their children to ask their mother how many cute bunnies they murdered to get that coat...
Truly disgusting if you ask me...

I also wonder why some of these far left groups haven't been added to a terrorist watch list. Whether it's animal rights groups firebombing McDonalds or environmental groups torching SUV's parks, I don't think I've seen a more clearer example of terrorist groups active upon our soil.

As long as they go after guys like these just as hard, I'm up for that. It takes a heck of a good reason for me to classify blowing things up as a constructive act.
PETA is like a bunch of high-school pranksters by comparison -- not much credibility, but they strike a nerve once in a blue moon. They may not like McDonald's much, and have protested and negotiated with them repeatedly over the years, but I'll take PR campaigns and spray cans over firebombs any day.

Will you all pleae stop. The are not the far left, they are facists pure and simple. And grimis, they have no credibility to any thinking person. If you examine their views, their stance is really quite detrimental to animals and if their platform wa implemented, animals would be far worse off. The sad thing is that they have some valid points buried in the BS that I can agree to, primarily in the production of food on a corporate scale, but they mostly are just nuts.

And DrDirt is right... comparing normal left wingers with those nuts is as about as fair as grouping normal conservatives with the skinheads. It's a whole different ideology that isn't left wing or right wing... just psycho wing.

PETA looks like the PTC of animal rights, they may have some points, but they get hidden inside their BS and bullying tactics. Obviously, they want animals to be treated ethically, but don't care to see the same for humans (particularly small children).
Broad generalizations do suck, bring back personal smears.
EDIT: Someone showed me a site called ActivistCash.Com that has lots of information on how disgusting PETA and other "activist" groups can be.

I don't live in a climate that requires mink or sable, but I do have a lamb leather coat that I wear with pride. This callous attitude is inherited from my dear old Dad, who deliberately crosses every picket line he sees.
Well, I'm pissy today; I was just subjected to "Brother Bear", one of the worst pieces of anti-human propaganda I've ever seen masquerading as a children's movie. Even corporate Disney perpetrates this idiocy: "People bad. Animals unconditionally good. Reject your humanity to achieve fairy-tale Utopia." What a bunch of pantywaist crypto-veggie pacifists. Where's my deer rifle?

Looks like it has worked again. The reaction seen here is exactly the reaction they were looking for.
One day we will all smarten up and just ignore groups like this, and their PR stunts.
