As it seems that each day Vince loses touch with his fan base, perhaps its time for him to step aside and pass the business on to his son (never, under any circumstances to his daughter). Age wise, Vince and Shane are in the same category as Vince Sr. and Vince were when the shift was made in the early 80's. Since Shane is in the target age group, perhaps he has a better idea of what the fan base wants rather than a late 50's grandfather. Step aside Vinnie Mac, because each day your in charge, the value of your company drops.
I want you to know, I agree with everything I've just said.
Vince, what we need is more Blackman. Blackman brings in the ratings, Vinny-mac. And more Big Show. Show is the king of the ring.
Triple H? HHH is washed up! Bring in the Blackman!
Booyah!"
I like Shane. I really do. But I don't honestly think that he'd do any better of a job of booking as Stephanie.
Since everyone else is doing it (ok, not EVERYONE, but...)
Vikings (0-4) - Bye weeks are boring (round 2) Badgers (5-1) - Congrats to Penn State. Time to rethink our defense. Twins (1-1) - The team looked like hell. Hopefully we can steal one in Cali. Buffy 7.3 earns a 8.04 Out of 10 for being the funny, but throwing out enough plot contrivances to last us the whole damn season. Anya however = Hillarious.
It is my understand that Shane ain't the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Considering I call him Skippy, you can tell I don't really think that much of Shane either. However, it really seems like its getting close to that time where the natural progression in the business occurs for Vince to step aside, and we have two choices: Skippy or Steph/Steph. We've already witness how bad a writer Steph/Steph is, so if its between the devil you know and the devil you don't know; at this point, I'd take the devil I don't know.

We are talking about running the company and not just booking, which is why Heyman shouldn't be the choice. I have heard that Stephanie has more of the wrestling business mindset than Shane, so I would actually turn the business over to her.
Before you all go batty, here me out. If Steph runs the whole show, she will not have enough time to be the head booker. Therefore, she gives up the book to Heyman or Brian or anyone else (and that's a good thing), and she just maintains the overall direction of the company. So Steph should run the business.
Plus if Shane ran things, Test might be Raw world champion with Steve Blackman as the Smackdown champ. I weep for the future in that case.

Hasn't Vince already publicly stated on more than one occasion that when he retires (read dies) that Shane & Stephanie will receive equal control of the company?
This is all kinda moot, since Vince is too hands-on to let anyone else run things. He will be in charge as long as he is capable.

Steph might not be the best person to do the job but at least she is willing to try.
Perhaps the best solution would be for either of them to be the head of the company but hire people to run it for them..
If I remember right, it was supposedly Skippy's idea in the dark days of '97 when RAW was getting a rating under 2 to go to a more hardcore style (steal from Heyman). That one idea tops any idea I can remember Steph/Steph having, unless of course it turns out the person who had an affair with Taker set up Kane for murder 10 years ago.

Shane's boys:Benoit, Angle, Edge, and Christian.
Stephanie's boys:Billy, Chuck, HHH, and Rikishi.
Like you can even question who has better taste. Besides, Blackman's out with the headaches (weep accordingly recappers) so Shane COULDN'T push him to the moon.
I'm still working on a way that I can forge DNA tests to convince Linda that Vince fathered me during one of those extra-marital affairs that he's admitted to having during the early years of their marriage. Then, out of spite, she'll give me complete control of the company to facilitate my revenge against a father who abandoned me. See, Vince gets his soap opera storylines and I get to be head booker and everybody is happy.

For God's sake, what do any of us know about this?

Vince had publicly stated that he will not retire until he dies. He has actually said this. So that's the bad news. The good news is with all the steroids he took, it can't be much longer now.
Who pissed in your cornflakes? Oh, wait. It was me. My apologies.
Vince, being the man who made WWE what it is today, will probably be in charge of the company for quite some time until he thinks that either Shane or Stephanie is ready to go. If WWE can remain in business for another 10 years, Vince will definitely remain at the top of the mountain. He isn't anywhere close to being senile and loves what he does... or, at least, did love what he was doing. If what Vince Russo said is correct, he has lost his fire in recent years.
Sephanie obviously isn't capable of doing the job at the moment. She's too young and can't seem to balance the responsibilities of running a company. Of course, Vince is in his 50s and he still comes across as immature. Unfortunately, Stephanie didn't inherit Vince's creativity, only his ego.
She's structured herself a fine team of writers using her Muncie School of Business education, but her organization turns out shit on a bi-weekly basis.
That said, I am not sure how Shane would handle being the top guy in WWE. On-screen, he's the only McMahon that can be tolerable, but that doesn't mean he can't get out of control either.
If Shane was as intergal to the WWE turnaroud as some suspect, it probably would be a better idea to put him in the driver's seat. However, from what I've seen, I think Shane's perfectly happy doing what he's doing now. I don't think he has the real desire to be an on-screen character nor be in charge of creative stuff every week at the moment. That's a good thing in the longrun... if there is a longrun.
I wouldn't mind seeing a face Jericho again ... it's about time he did get another run as one ... As for Jericho with Evoltion, he just doesn't fit ... he's always been a sort of a loner ... to me, that's what makes him cool.
