WWF.com: J.R., can you tell us if Mr. Perfect and Goldust were only back for a one-time deal, or if they are back to stay?
Ross: Right now, our plans are that they are going to stay with us and resume their World Wrestling Federation careers. So the Rumble was a one-time situation that we contracted for, but they're interested in staying, and we're very interested in them being with us. So unless something unforeseen occurs from a contractual standpoint, they're going to resume their Federation careers, and we will march forward.
Since no one else has replied yet, I'll try to remember exactly what it was. IIRC it had something to do with Hennig's insurance policy with Lords of London(?) which said that he couldn't actually wrestle a match. At the time Hennig was doing color but before he left ended up working an angle with HHH and Marc mero where he challenged HHH to a match, but before the match was 'attacked and injured' by HHH. Well anyway, I think the insurance company counted that as working a match or whatever (he DID take a bump during the attack segment) and lost the policy or what-not despite Vince's promises to the contrary.
But then, I may be off on that.

I sense a problem though...Christian pretty much stole Goldusts enterance (the raining sparks and all.) So my question is Goldust just going to come out with his "widescreen" or is Christian going to lose his sparklers?
Nothing is better than X-pac! It's all in the inflection...
I kinda like Goldust, but I don't think anyone really cares what I think. I got pretty freaked out by the whole homo-erotic part of his character during his infatuation with Razor Ramon. He always had a cool entrance, and his music is pretty neat. I'd kinda like it if they would just keep around to cut freaky promos, and keep his in ring work to the minimum. I always found Goldust to be more interesting when he was cutting promos then when he was wrestling.
Well, since it appears they're setting Perfect as a heel, I have to say I would love to see Perfect vs. Austin at the next PPV. Would be a nice change of pace, and I think Perfect would be a fun foil for Austin to play off of.
Hell yeah!!! How old school. I would love nothing more than to see an old school match with Austin & Perfect. BTW I wanted to see Perfect win last night.
I just had watched some matches with him in it this weekend. I loved how he sold everyone's moves. It was so over dramatic but I loved it still. I can't wait to see him whipped into a corner and do that flip out to the middle of the ring. Or how cool he will sell the Stunner!!

Well of the 4 returning wrestlers Goldust appears to be the only one set up to do anything worth while.
Perfect got smashed, Venus got Stunned both got no heat and neither did the Godfather.
Back to Goldust I aways liked his character better when he was just playing the wierd movie type guy without the focus on the sex thing. It's not that it's freaky it's just that it's usually dumb. He cut an interesting promo though.
RVD/Perfect...That could be a fun one. Maybe have them feud over the IC title. That would give it some serious cred back (hopefully)!
HHH/Perfect...no. On account I'm one of the last HHH Haters!(And it's not a smart thing, I haven't liked him sense the get go. Even if he did do a new move during a TV match! Spinebuster!) Of course everyone else will/should love it, so why not?
Austin/Perfect would be a great match, but it looks like it's going to happen (or atleast a mini-program. Austin can't be hitting him with that chair just for kicks...can he? ) So I was aiming for kind of obscure/future matches.
Or maybe I'm just looking for an excuse to use the word "Benoit" in a sentence?
As much as folks want Perfect and Goldust in the upper ranks, they're destined to be mid-card players like Godfather and Venis - at least until there's a divvying up of wrestlers. As such, Perfect/Storm is more likely than Perfect/Austin or Perfect/HHH. Goldust could join the Ambiguously Gay Duo, Billy and Chucky, to make a *really* odd trio. Godfather could become Venis' supplier of women - the "Supply & Demand" team someone suggested a few months back.
P.S. Didn't Rick Rude used to do a schtick like Venis did tonight?

He's Joe "Animal" Laurinatis' brother. Loved the opening 15 and closing 30 minutes on this show. Everything else was either just OK, or in the case of the seemingly endless recappery of the Kane/Cena/Ryder saga just beating a dead horse...
