Man, has it been a while since we've had a good soda thread, or what?

Well, I saw this at my local Costco and it's also a sponsor for today's NFL playoff games. It's Pepsi Throwback, made with real sugar.

And I'm happy to say I can give it a thumbs up! Crisp, refreshing, and I don't feel a lot of the watery taste I get with regular Pepsi.

A shame it's a limited time. I'd love to have this as a permanent fixture in the False house.

I was excited this came back too, but not as excited as when I saw "Heritage Dr. Pepper" with real sugar in Target today. I hope that this trend continues and we get more of the sodas with real sugar. It's great!

The retro packaging on Pepsi Throwback this time around (it was also out last Spring) is great too. But not nearly as awesome as the Mountain Dew Throwback packaging.

I think I read this is another short release that will be gone in a few weeks. Nice to have again though.

Correct. It's scheduled for an eight-week run this time.

If nothing else, we're getting Pepsi Lime and Diet Pepsi Lime. Just saw them for the first time in a long time (or possibly ever? I can't really remember) yesterday. Didn't try the regular one but the diet version was good.

Loved Pepsi Throwback the first time; love it just as much the second time. I kinda liked the old-school packaging of the first go-round, though: the 2009-10 winter season packaging is just kinda generic "early '80s logo". Big deal.

The Mountain Dew Throwback packaging, on the other hand, is a hoot!

Really just depends what you're looking for. Nice scenery on the drive, or fun places to stop at? Places to avoid even driving through if possible:
