Since this seems to be more of a Windows problem, I put it here.
I tried Google for this, but the various searches I tried just came up with reviews.
OK...my daughter got a copy of Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego for Christmas. I don't want to discourage her from using it, but it wants me to reset my video settings to 640 x 480 w/256 colors every time she starts it. Apparently it doesn't recognize the higher video settings.
I've had other games that wanted this, but they went ahead and started up, either in a window, or Windows compensated for the graphics needs by temporarily switching modes.
Anybody have any tips for getting that to happen with THIS game? I didn't see any patches at the website either.
This is the Learning Company version of the game that Broderbund re-released. Oh...and I'm running Windows ME (I know, I know...the PC is old enough that I don't want to putz with the upgrading expense or headaches.)
Thanks in advance, whether anyone has suggestions or not.
