NBC: Pax 'Abandoning' Net Programming
By John M. Higgins -- Broadcasting & Cable, 4/21/2005 5:12:00 PM
Ailing Pax TV will virtually cease entertainment programming and instead load its schedule with infomercials, which is drawing protests from 32%-owner NBC Universal.

AMEX:PAX closed at 1.13, up two cents - is NOW the time to buy? (If NBC hasn't bought them by now, they probably ain't gonna do it until they go even lower...right?) Also...stocks still trade on the AMEX? Holy cow

I guess we learned one thing from this-showing repeats of "Diagnosis Murder" can only get you so far as a network.

It took me six months to notice, and apparently Pax six more months to catch up.

I thought that DOC ended it's run last year. It's available on syndication here in Canada, though...on CH and Showcase.
We don't get PAX here in Canada, but I always liked their family friendly programming.

That was ... well, is ... RPW, mentioned above. As far as I know, it's independent of PAX, although it can't help them to have their TV money cut off this early in their existence.

I will personally match whatever PAX is paying him to prevent that. Us country fans get enough of a bad rap without him coming back. |
