I didn't expect this one. Without him and Bruschi, as well as the departure of the coaching staff, the 2-time defending champs may have a tough season ahead of them.

Belichik and Brady are awesome, but not good enough to overcome this.

I heard the same arguments after Milloy left. Same with Ted Washington. With Ted Johnson, he did have a resurgance last year but the past 2 Super Bowl winning teams for the Pats before last year he was out most of the time due to injury, and I say that with all the respect due Johnson. He was one of my fsvorites. Don't count out the Pats just yet.

I figure they'll probably put Crouch on the practice squad / scout squad, or whatever they're calling it. Smith and Pederson get the nods to the big club, although in reverse order on the depth chart. But these are the Packers we're talking about.
