Green Bay signed Charles Woodson to a 7 yr $52 million contract today. I was hoping the Bucs would get him, but for that much money I'd much rather they get a safety/cb in the draft.
Edit: Guess I shouldn't be making threads at 2 in the morning. Woodson not Wooden.
I'm hoping the Pack drafts AJ Hawk to get some real defensive help.

Meh - for a team with $20 million (or thereabouts) in cap space, what's teh ahrm in giving $10 million in salary for one year. Remember, there's no signing bonus in teis contract, so there's no dead money at any point (after this year) if Woodson is released.
Hey - he's better than Ahmad Carroll. I'll take him opposite Al Harris.

Big deal. Half the guys on this board are better than Ahmad Carroll.
I don't begrudge the Pack spending money, but I'd much rather it be on a veteran who is more likely to be hooked up to the juvenation machine (i.e. Harrison going to the Pats) than a guy who's been injured the last three seasons.

WOW WHAT A BORING GAME I'm sorry, but I prefer games with at least ONE touchdown in them. You'd think sooner or later somebody would make Peyton pay for lobbing up those dumb-ass choices, but not yet...
