Holy crap, did that dude get insanely over all of a sudden or what? DDP on the apron, Godfather in the ring, half a dozen ho...errr... escorts in the ring, and the fans still make a sizeable DDP chant.

And it looks like he's back to sucking up to the fans, after exiting through the crowd and posing with them after pinning Storm after the Diamond Cutter. Wonder if anyone's gonna bitch about Storm doing the job to Page - they shouldn't I'd hope.

No matter how bad things may get, just imagine what would happen if Vince Russo was booking again, and you will feel better.

My Dad went to High School with DDP...well, that is of course, before he was suspended for streaking down the halls. And I mean DDP, not my Dad.

My Dad's even got some nifty pictures of DDP in his Yearbook. Too bad my Dad used to beat him up when they were on the Wrestling team together. It would have ruled if I could have known DDP.

And speaking of Raw, was that an awesome music video or what?

Finally, maybe DDP can get over, other than getting beat down by UT and his wife.

Only in professional wrestling can guy do what he did to Undertaker's wife, then not only have the entire matter forgotten about but also get cheered by the crowds within a few months.

(Well, HOPEFULLY only in professional wrestling.)

Well, I don't have a problem with Lance Storm jobbing to DDP (and i'm a big fan if you hadn't noticed), i'm just glad that the match last more than a minute and 8 seconds.

But it should be noted that Lance sold the Diamond Cutter better than anyone else since DDP came to the WWF.

Is it just me, or is the "Turn around walk into it" Diamond Cutter just the best thing ever? I wish that they'd do that in videogames as the actually Diamond Cutter finisher.

all DDP needs is his old teen spirit music back...his music now really sucks, well, not really sucks, it just doesn't bring out any emotion. as dumb as it sounds i think his old music could elevate him that much more and help with getting him over.

DDP vs Lance would be a nice little match that could be added to No Way Out wouldn't it?

I think it's awesome how mad over DDP is now. See, this is the role that the WWF should have put Page in in the first place, instead of that stalker angle.

I wouldn't mind seeing DDP and Storm go at it at No Way Out, those two could put on a very, very good match together. And that's not a bad thing... that's a good thing.

Hey, the stalker angle was shocking. It was a defining, "Holy shit! DDP in the WWF!" moment. It's just the fact that they didn't build DDP as an actual threat to UT, and then he got injured and had to be jobbed out to Sarataker.

I hope this only leads to bigger things for Page... He's got so much more to give than being a lacky for The Godfather.

If anyone saw him on Excess, THAT'S the character he needs to bring out. They did a cute backstage segment with some woman who was turning 30 - and I have NO IDEA why they didn't save that for RAW, when, you know, people would be watching.

The breaking out the Diamond Cutter from anywhere is a damn good start.

Even though Tony Schiavone was a very lame guy, one of the things they were always able to do right was sell how dangerous the Diamond Cutter was because he could hit the move from so many different positions.

It's too bad that the WWF didn't have more WCW guys on the roster when they did their southern tour the last couple of weeks. They could have really gotten some of those guys over. Instead, it got wasted on WWF guys yet again because Vince doesn't consider the WCW guys to be real stars.

I do think it's funny though that DDP happened to have stolen Martha Stewart's "It's a good thing" catchphrase. And now, I must go to K-Mart to buy bath towels!!!!

I can't remember Lance and DDP ever wrestling in WCW. Seems like when Lance came in DDP was already cemented in the main event status and Lance was a mid carder. Plus they were both heels weren't they?

I do know that they did house shows against each other when they first came to WWF so maybe Lance has had more practice doing the Diamond Cutter than the others.

true... i forgot about them both being heels in wcw... i didn't know Lance and DDP were doing house shows against each other so your right he probably has had more time to work on selling that move...

Nah, his new music is fine. It's bland, but at least it doesn't sound similar to anyone else's music (like how Raven's theme is a completely expressionless version of Benoit's). Plus, it has the magic words in the intro - "it's D-D-P". Fans are already chanting along with that.

What IS it with fans chanting along with three initialed wrestlers (RVD, DDP, hell, even HHH in a way).

Yeah, but they say "Triple H" not Haitch Haitch Haitch. Hmmm... I'm almost certain it'd be funny for someone to refer to him just as HHH instead of Triple H.... just don't know who could do it right

Most fans seem to have problems chanting "Triple H" as it is. Attempting to chant the actual will lead to nothing short of a train wreck.

If done correctly, DDP can get over even more than if they bring up his past with the NWO. DDP is one of the few people who was actually a threat to the NWO. Who can forget the moment he diamond cuttered Hall when the Outsiders gave him an NWO shirt and he shook their hands. I thought that was one of the better WCW moments during the initial NWO run.

DDP, Luger, Giant and Sting in my opinion were the real threat to the NWO, too bad Bischoff never really gave the 4 Horsemen a chance to stand against even the NWO B team. Since the WWF has two people who want head to head with them in the past it would make since to have DDP and Big Show either fight them first or at least cut a promo talking about it. It would be cool to see that, but I don't think Vince is going to go in that direction. A shame, DDP actually got good matches out of all of them even Savage.

A Fan- We want Sting! Or a good face stable.

Dude, DDP is over, period. He knows how to work a crowd, he (used to, at least) can carry a broomstick to a decent match, and he is pretty good on the stick. Plus, that whole sucking up to the fans, er, leaving through the crowd bit helps a lot. Remember, you are talking about a guy who was more over than Booker T for most of their respective runs in WcW (and yes, Page uses politics, blah, blah, blah, but he also puts a lot of time into working on ring skills). Anyway, I freaked seeing Page in the crowd on Raw. I thought it was awesome.
