Hey, shut up! I know what you’re going to say. And I don’t want to do this. I don’t want to waste my time as a human being to blab about the same old shit time and time again, but what choice does a person have? When they keep making the same mistakes time and time again and refuse to let logic in?

I was not surprised with what went down main event-wise. But I want to point out, at the risk of being labelled a HHHater…That tonight…Jean-Paul LeWRECKtheCompany…(that’s me new anti-Trips nickname that I’m trying to get over) won a match he had no business winning. Triple H comes out to silence. His interview gets no reaction. The fans chanted for his opponent, but not for the times his opponent got in moves on him. Folks, this isn’t me being over-speculative without the facts. I don’t need to sit in on a Gerwitz booking session to know the facts. The difference between a heel who you’d pay to watch get beaten, and a heel who makes you not want to do anything is right there. The fans chanted for RVD…But not for RVD beating up Triple H. Earlier they went apeshit over a great match b/n Booker and Jericho. That match is stopped without a conclusion, turned into a tag-match disrupting all continuity and momentum, and the four guys in it managed to have the fans going apeshit again in a minute or two. Triple H comes out with arguable someone even MORE over than Booker T, and has the fans all silent. Then we have Shawn helping RVD who still can’t beat Triple H…And we don’t know anything because we aren’t backstage? Bullshit. I have eyes and a brain and they tell me RVD got buried again tonight.

Triple H…….Is not……..fucking……..over. Every time he gets pushed in spite of it, I will continue to point it out.

My best quotes from the NOV. 21 Smackdown Recap:
-"a bath sponge is a King-Size bed to Rey Mysterio Jr"
-"He stands on the apron for the west-coast-pop, a cool move with a very, very homosexual name."
-"Through this felled wall we see Crash Holly lying on a table being orally pleasured by the trainer."
-"Here comes Benoit! Crisp Benoit! Why do I call him Crisp? Because everything he does is CRISPY CRISP!"
-"The shmuck in the Andre suit comes down. They hug. I find myself strangely aroused."

Eh, the match was all right, but anyone who didn't call the outcome as soon as the match was announced is an idiot. Was there anyone watching who thought that WWE would let RVD get a win over Triple H? Even when Michaels was named the special guest referee, supposedly stacking the deck against Triple H, I still knew that Triple H was going to win.

I agree, I think we've seen this one too many times.

It's like I said as we were watching the main event, and the dog wanted to go out but I was waiting until the show was over:

"RAW just isn't RAW unless it leaves me with an 'ehhhhhhhhhh' feeling."

And Triple H interrupted RNN! Boooo! Now I'll have to wait until next week to get my update on Randy's rehab.

My "inside sources" tell me that Randy's just recovered from a nasty bout of dry, itchy scalp.

God-speed, Randy!

I think the interruption of Randy is going to lead to a Bob-Orton-cast-style beatdown of J.R.

If he beats down JR last night though, it would have made Randy a face. Those fans in Austin seemed to not like JR, and JR was making those heel comments about the university they were visiting.
As for Trip and God-Boy, I'm actually surprised they didn't have God-Boy turn on RVD, as they did when HBK was ref for the Trip/Flex match in '99. It would have made no sense of course, but then again, since when has that mattered? The big question though: Does Steph/Steph give Trip a face turn as a X-Mas present?

JR's an OU fan, so he has a natural hatred for the University of Texas. He normally comes out to the OU fight song, but they don't do that in Austin, 'cause he'd get booed.

actually, it WOULD have made sense. because Shawn was saying in the earlier interview that he didn't WANT to face RVD at the pay-per-view, he wanted to face HHH, to get revenge for his recent attack on him after last week's Raw match. therefore, it would have made sense for him to HELP HHH win. not try to help RVD. the way that match played out made no sense. it seems that now they can't even go for a whole SHOW without forgetting storylines. bleh.

O.K... not to be a dick, but well...that's never stopped me in the past.

Salami..."Hogan's My Dad" at least listed several items to support his idea that HHH isn't over. Can you list your reasons based on last nights show, as to why he is?

For the life of me...I didn't see anyone in the building, other than JR's raging hard on, that was interested in him.

The crowd is (almost) always into HHH's matches. The IWC, for the most part, look through tainted glasses when he's on TV. I just think it's bullshit that people keep saying he's not over. The crowd wasn't as dead as people keep saying during the HHH-HBK segments at the end of the show. In fact, I thought they were dead throughout most of the main event UNTIL the encounter between the two biggest players on the show.

To move beyond last night....

Go out onto the street and ask Joe Blow to name some WWE wrestlers. You'll likely hear Hogan, Rock, Stone Cold, and YES, HHH.

Look at merch sales...crowd signs...how much hatred he gets on the internet (he is a heel, after all).

It's OK if you don't like him. Hell, I don't like him. But to say he's "not fucking over", and say it so emphatically, I just think that's bogus.

Fair enough...and thanks. I'm not really on the HHHate wagon, see my post in the "Debacle that was RAW" thread, I just don't like to see the "Yes he is-no he's not" type posts with no argument to back it up.

I really appreciate you coming back with actual info instead of coming back just to light me up.

I think they're trying to build HHH into a "new age" super heel that absolutely everyone hates. But per my post in the other thread I think they might be doing it TOO well.

Yeah, but I'll wager that people who could name HHH could also spout off a bunch of other wrestlers, too. Like Booker, Angle, RVD, etc. I don't think that HHH is over enough to transcend wrestling like Hogan, Rock and Austin. My parents know who those three are. They wouldn't know HHH from Lou Ferrigno.

OK. So I thought I would road test our theory. At lunch today at a local pizza place I asked several people to name som wrestlers. A few were fans and named a ton. Two guys, however, fit our criteria (they don't watch wrestling). I asked them to name the first five wrestlers that came to mind.

Guy 1: Hulk Hogan, The Rock, Ric Flair, Macho Man, HHH

Guy 2: Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold, Road Dogg (what?), Andre The Giant, The Rock

I guess the results are inconclusive.

Fair enough, I'm impressed that you put it to the test. I think the Road Dogg is somewhere marking out right now.

The problem with this is, you have to have a mega-face to counteract the mega-heel. Thats where the HHHate really comes from. People could stand him more if we had some counterbalance to him. The problem is NOBODY looks good against him. People love to point to 2000 as HHH's prime. But to me he wasnt that diffrent from what he is now. The diffrence was that the Rock was super over as a face. The Rock's great promos and Ring work to me carried the entire fued. So if the HHHate is going to stop we need a super babyface to battle HHH. But where is this super face going to come from? The way things are going Booker, RVD, and Jericho have no shot. HHH has buried them too many times. If they are goong to put Steiner on SD, then this HHH shit will go on until either the Rocks comes back (but he may be a heel) Austin comes back (same deal) or Vince can bring in Goldberg. I know some of who will snort at the last name, but its getting to the point that Goldberg will be the only wrestler that the fans will believe as a threat to HHH.

Triple H is trash. I can't stand him. I used to be a huge HHH mark but no more. His days of entertaining me, either on the mic or in the ring, are long gone. The flavor of the month is HBK. So who is HBK feuding with? HHH. RVD is so over it is scary. Who is he feuding with? HHH. Kane was huge two months ago. Who buried him? HHH. Jericho was never given a shot at a legit title run. Who took it from him along with his credibility? HHH. The guy is scum. His intro takes up soooo much time it makes me hate him even more. I wish that just once during his intro, right before he spits his water, that someone, ANYONE, would lay him out.

And that my friend is the sort of thing that could build a "superface". Just imagine the gigantic pop that would get.

The Quick Answer: None. The Slow Answer: Almost everyone who was in WCW that people would be remotely interested in already appear on WWE television on a regular basis. There would be no nostalgia in putting them on a PPV under the WCW banner.
