It's more than obvious that the IWC, doesn't like HHH very much. That's fine. They say that he should be off TV for a long time... Okay. IF that's how you all feel, if you don't like him, and want him gone, where should he go and what should he do? Smartass comments should be kept to a minimum.

This is a very good question. I'm not sure if taking HHH off TV completely is the right answer. Less TV time, like just about everyone else gets when he is there, would be better. HHH doesn't need to be involved in every main event. I would like to see him curtain jerk a few times.

Jerking the curtain would solve nothing, because when we returned from commercial, we'd go straight to HHH backstage, where he'd say something to set up an appearance later in the show, etc., et-bloody-cetera.

No, I'd like to revive a notion I mentioned a couple weeks ago: WWE already works their talent on a variety of different schedules (and don't you think the boys are finally noticing that overseas appearances are a drag, not a perk?). So what's wrong with some of them JUST NOT WORKING for a while, at least on TV? Seriously, if some sort of 'equality among spots' or 'equality of similarly situated workers' was their goal, they'd have unionized long ago.

So, use the old solution: Give HHH a fake injury and some time off TV, bring him back in three or four months when he's fresh again. He doesn't like it? He can re-read his contract while he's relaxing off TV.

Alternatively, he could kill Waltman in a jealous rage and get several years for voluntary manslaughter. (Insert joke about how Waltman was doing the same thing and they called in marriage here.)

M. Cole: Oh no, what's Angle going to do with that chair. Tazz: Well, I think he wants to, you know, HIT HIM with it.

He could devote more time to announcing bodybuilding..or go down to OVW and lose some bulk...or go to Japan and improve his moveset...or get an acting coach and improve his promos...or go have posedowns with Hogan in Hogan's living room. The possibilities are endless here.

I don't really want him gone so much either, as much as I want a lot less of him, and I want him OUT of the title picture. Frankly I would like to see him knocked down a notch and then put into a program with Booker or even Jericho... and for him to give a clean job.
Basically, less HHH, and HHH can't be so damned indestructible anymore. Hell, even when Hogan was in the top spot in the 80s, he looked weak to his opponents... that was what made his matches exciting to me. How was he going to beat ANDRE? Zeus? Earthquake? HHH totally dominates his opponents before, during, and after matches (save for 2 HBK matches, and I won't even get into those)... and that is BORING... show some real weakness for crying out loud!

I think taht he just should be on the show less. I mean, last week when JR and the King were saying, "Can we have Raw without HHH?" I was like, what? He should be removed from being the centerpice of the show. Actually, I would take him off the air for a month and then bring him back in a reduced role. I would give the show to RVD and The Book actually. HHH is not working. When he isn't on the show, the ratings go up. What does that tell you?

There is only one way to satisfy the Triple H detractors and Triple H defenders: Use a strategy from the past. Much as Piper's Pit or the Brother Love show had a specified time in a program, make the Triple H portion a specified time. Give him from 22 past to half past each hour on RAW. That way, he gets his 16 minutes and two segments and he and his fans are happy. He can do whatever he wants during these segment: wrestle, spit, talk about how the only person in WWF/E history with a bigger dick than him is Chyna, whatever he wants. However, he cannot be mentioned or seen in any other portion of the program. By doing this, his fans get to see him, he gets his TV time, and those that do not want to see him have no excuse for not knowing when to turn the station. Do this for a few months, then see what the quarter hour ratings are. If the Trip portion sees a disasterous fall in the ratings, then it would be confirmed that he does kill ratings. If there is an increase, then he does increase ratings. But by doing this, the WWF/E would end a great deal of their difficulties.

I want you to know, I agree with everything I've just said.

I'm just glad we all came up with some intelligent answers. It's tough for me, as one of his fans to read all this, but that doesn't mean I disagree that less TV time (and something compelling and believable for a change) would certainly help. I carried through RAW pretty well without him thanks to Jericho/Christian (they should wear towels to the ring all the time!). They cracked me up, and what can I say? Y2J looks better with wet hair! Back to the subject.. I don't mind seeing less of HHH at all. That's a good idea. I'm really enjoying Victoria (only because I bite guys' ears too...) and I have to admit, I miss Scott Steiner explaining this "nirvana" thing to us all. I know HHH can do better than what we've seen, so until that day comes, I'll concentrate on Christian... I had no idea his ass was that good looking!

Well I think the whole HHH bashing is getting a little old. Does he play politics? Sure. Does he protect his spot? Yup. Does he bury other guys to put himself over? Probably. But guess what? SO did Flair. So did Hogan. Rocky didn't need to because he had bigger options. And if I remember correctly, Austin had some "spot protecting" tendencies too. It's just the IWC compaint du jour. Tell me, if you busted your ass for years to be the top guy in the sport, would you be in a hurry to relinquish your spot?

Your spot's only as good as your opponents, and his opponents aren't believable. It is his JOB to make them believable. I want to see less of HHH and I want to be able to watch one of his matches without calling the ending as Motorhead hits. I DO NOT want him to job to Stevie Richards and D-lo, but I want to be able to suspend disbelief when Kane, RVD, or Booker steps through the ropes. No one bought that anyone but HHH or his best friend would come out of that Chamber. When you've your six most over guys in a match, that shouldn't be the case.

Flair - drew, and had great matches
Hogan - huge draw
Austin - huge draw, great matches
HHH - had 1 good, relatively brief run, and has been boring and/or crappy ever since his injury

Protecting your spot happens with all top guys but the difference here is that Triple H hasn't done anything to earn that power. He isn't Hogan, he isn't Flair, he isn't Austin, he isn't Rock. He's just a guy with a look who got shoved down our throats, wasn't over, got Mick Foley, Rock and Austin to all put him over, started banging Stephanie and somehow gets away with murder.

It's Vince's fault for being a dumbass and keeping him on top but that doesn't mean I've gotta like HHH. What goes around seems to come around for the Clique so eventually I believe HHH will get what's coming to him.

So you're saying it's okay to play politics, hold guys down, etc. as long as you have good matches? And as far as being a draw goes, no one would draw right now. Wrestling's in one of it's down periods. Who should be champ? Angle? How'd his last run on top go? Benoit? Sure, Mr. Charisma himself. RVD? C'mon. Jericho, who don't fool yourself, would love to be HHH. The guys in the top spot try to keep their top spot, regardless of whether people consider them to be a good worker. It's simple. It's trendy to bash the lead dog, but put Angle up there for 6 months and watch the backlash. Let's not forget, the IWC was wetting their collective pants over HHH at one point. How'd that work out IWC?

It has nothing to do with being a good worker. It's being a draw. Hogan was the man drawing all the money for WWF in the 80's so he earns a say in what goes on. Austin drew almost all the money in the 'Attitude Era' so he deserves a say.

Take a Law Firm for example. Say one of the lawyers is the one winning all the high profile cases, bringing in all the big clients, you don't think he deserves a say in what cases he takes or how the practice is run?

I think Austin was pissed not only because of bad writing but because Vince started bringing in guys who people turned off in WCW when they flipped over to see Austin.

Playing politics is as common in wrestling as a headlock. It has always been there, and always will be there. The difference is that HHH's politics has not brought money in. It is ultimately Vince's call and I blame Vince, not HHH for the HHH show every Monday. Maybe Steph is putting Vince in a tough position with her relationship with HHH. HHH is supposed to try to get as much as he can for himself. Vince is supposed to look out for his company, HHH is doing a great job in his role, Vince is doing a horrible job in his.

I thought Kane was the one that got away with murder...

And HHH has done nothing to earn his spot? I guess he must pipe in those loud pops himself, then. The one thing that HHH did that Austin, Foley, Flair & Hogan didn't is remain loyal to his company. It's been said that he doesn't like the storylines he's been put in anymore than Austin or Foley but you don't see him throwing a hissy fit and walking out. (And, in Foley's defense, he left on good terms in a mature manner, so I'm not bagging on him for leaving. He was due to retire anyway.) HHH tore his quad yet finished the match the way it was intended. He nearly crushed his trachea yet finished the match the way it was intended. People compare that to Austin breaking his neck but Austin didn't finish the match the way it was intended, he simply did a crappy looking rollup quick finish. Sure, the fact that Austin even thought to do something after being partially paralyzed was impressive but much less so than HHH's efforts. HHH has done just as much to earn his spot as Austin, Hogan, Rock, Foley or Flair ever did.

Didn't Terra Ryzin debut in WCW? That means he was never completely loyal to his company. The reason he doesn't jump like a Flair or Hogan did is simple: Where the hell can he jump to? The NWA?

Entrance, Entrance, Entrance-
The most untalented jobber could get giant pops with an entrance like HHH's ... HHH walking to the ring is the most exciting thing about him. I do not notice the pops when he pops on the screen like you get when they flash a picture of the Rock on the titantron...

Amen, InVerse. And speaking of earning the power, which you seem to advocate, fuelinjected...

Does that mean you approve of newcomers and former WCW transfers having to "earn the power", or deserve their spot? It's the same principle, on the flipside of the coin. Be careful what you say, hypocrisy lurks around every corner. But then not many people acknowledge hypocrisy on this board anyway-it destroys too many theories and damages too much impartiality.

You're joking, right? You're judging loyalty on working through potential career ending injuries? Granted, a throat injury is definitely serious stuff and I'm taking nothing away from HHH's efforts in both injury-plagued matches. But, c'mon... you're comparing apples and oranges here and quite frankly, it's a very piss poor argument in defense of "company loyalty".
