... That Armageddon isn't sucky. I got my tickets this morning, they're pretty good. I'm on the first row of the first section that's not the floor, with a nice, clear view of the Titan Tron.
This is my first pay-per-view, so I'm pretty excited. Here's hoping for a Kurt Angle match that goes at least 20 minutes. :)
For Armageddon, there are (other than the obvious title matches) Jericho/Steiner, Batista/Kane, Richards/Test, Cena/Rikishi feuds as well as a Tag title defence, either with Angle and Benoit as a team, or in a seperate match
*Sigh* this brings back memories, and none of them good. Me and L-Mo went to our first (and only) ppv a few years ago and it was the worst show i've ever seen. The main event was the six man Hell in the Cell which i thought was just a mess. This was also the time of the infamous Kane/Jericho coffee spilling feud and the equally infamous near murder of Benoit by Billy Gunn. And I think Chyna also wrestled Val Venis? There was a Hardcore Title Match that sucked, and a tag team match that sucked. Really the only good match was Hardyz/Lita vs. Malenko/Saturn/Eddy elimination tag, but it was the opening match so it was like 5 minutes long. Horrible show...
Anyway, good luck with the show, like it's been pointed out there is too much good stuff goin on for it to be as bad as the Armageddon I saw.
- Probably a HBK title match - Lesnar vs. Show - Angle/Benoit vs. Guerros - Edge and Mysterio in some way - Maybe something with Noble and his cousin - Booker, RVD, Jericho, Christian probably on the show somewhere. - Batista is some form. - Steiner's ppv debut I'm not too excited about the Test and Richards thing, although i like both of them, just because i'm betting it's a tag match with the women.
Now that I think about it, WWE SHOULD be putting on great ppvs every month.
I have pretty high hopes. I'm surprised at how good my seats are, since I bought them online. The last time I tried to buy WWF tickets online was in May of '99, and the ticketmaster server was so overloaded, and the show sold out in like an hour, and I got stuck with, literally, last row, upper deck. So there are definite advantages to the WWE's decline in popularity.
I have never seen Benoit wrestle live (the last show I went to, Smackdown last year, he was injured), so that's a definite high point. And Kurt always delivers. Hopefully I'll get to see Brock squash Big Show, too.
Will you be seeing the show at TECO in Ft.Myers too? My folks live there and I've missed the WWE both times they worked in town, visting just after the shows. I did catch a WCW Saturday Night taping at the old Lee County Convention Center in 1998. It kicked ass. They taped 3 weeks of Saturday Night during a marathon 5 hour show. Raven and Eddie each had 3 matches.
I was just wondering if you'd seen any of the shows at TECO. It's a smaller arena, so most of the seats are probably very good (I've seen hockey and basketball there).
PS--When I saw the title of this thread, I thought it was about Randy Orton's recovery.

Nah, I'm gonna skip the TECO show, since it's only a RAW house show. But it's only like a 25 minute drive, and I might go scout for autographs outside. TECO is like 2 minutes away from my mom's house, so I might go have dinner with her and zip over to scope out the scene.
Interesting note about the TECO show:
Jerry Lawler was signing autographs at the opening of ticket sales this morning. Not particularly interesting, unless you know the side story to that. One of my boyfriend's coworkers dated Stacy Lawler earlier this year (she lives here in town now, and she's working at Century 21). Anyway, according to Stacy, Old Jerry leaves like a jillion messages on her answering machine every day, wanting to "talk". God, he's a creep. And he just happens to "volunteer" to sign autographs in Ft. Myers. Heh. I could go on with more dirt Stacy dished to my boyfriend, but, well, it's kinda tacky, so I'll stop. :P
I don't think Lesnar will be facing The Big Show at Armageddon. He'll probably be suspended by Stephanie McMahon for his insubordination. This will give him time for his ribs to heal. Maybe the Royal Rumble, though...

I was thinking the same thing actually, perhaps Edge gets another shot? Or maybe UT comes back to get his revenge for Show throwing him off the stage?
Shin Strife says...
yeah,I was thinking Brock is suspended, and comes back hella pissed and Heel(character rejunvenation maybe?)
I say since Mysterio needs surgery you have Edge for for the belt, elevate him!...Taker works aswell.
Mattitude(ma't-e-toodeh'): Mattitude, is something that can not be taught or learned. Mattitude is something that burns within. In the ring, Mattitude is the intangible, the x-factor, that gives Matt Hardy Ver.1 an advantage over everyone else.
One thing to consider...perhaps this suspension thing is a set-up to hold off Brock's return match until WrestleMania? Obviously the Big Show would've dropped the belt to Angle by that point-possibly at the Rumble, which could also be where Brock claims the no.1 contendership. Just a thought.
WrestleMania? Obviously the Big Show would've dropped the belt to Angle by that point.
Why is that obvious? Seriously, where does some of this stuff come from? This board is the only one that seems to know what matches will be happened 6 years down the line (but only the ones involving Brock and Angle).
This has been explained so many times but I'll do it once more...The Brock/Angle match has been mooted as the main for next year's WM since the summer, in pretty much all the "official" wrestling press (1bob, Meltz, the Torch) and even hinted at by Angle himself in some interviews. Couple that with the fact that they've deliberately avoided any Brock/Kurt interaction so far AND that the potential match between the two could be a MASSIVE draw done right, and you have a pretty good case for assuming that the match will be in place come March.
Out of curiosity, how much was the seat? Becuase Iin can handle paying twice as much for rent as in Florida, but if I found out I'm paying twice as much for pay-per-views also, I'm going to have to seriously consider moving.
I paid $75 ($88 after Ticketmaster got through with me) for much worse seats than yours. I'd say half were better, half worse.

Venom; I never could figure out how to do many quotes in one post so I'll just take each of your points in turn. 1. In 2001 RVD was given good pops (not Hoganesque if memory serves unless you'd care to remind me of his 10 minute standing ovation)
