Yeah, JR reserves that kind of treatment for "developing" the female talent.
Okay that's twice this thread you mentioned something like that NBF. Do you care to share with the rest of the class? =)
I thought the comment was full of ignorance. Unfortunately this is what you get when you are calling such a tired old played out angle/storyline like Nationalism.
Well, whatta ya know? The Ross Report comes out and Jim Ross apologizes for his comment, saying he "should have known better". He seems to insinuate that someone else told him to say that but also says that "I said it, and I will take responsibility for my mistake."
I guess JR isn't aware that it's unamerican to take responsibility for your own actions and that it's his patriotic duty to blame any mistakes on someone else and expect them to pay the repercussions.
This thread is SUPERSWEET. As an about-as-average-as-you-can-get American, I'd just like to say that I had no idea that Veterans' Day was a multinational holiday AND I'd never heard of Armistice Day AND therefore as an about-as-average-as-you-can-get American I would've never thought twice about it if I hadn't stumbled onto this thread (which somebody else already brought up).

Not because of the flag remark, but because you can't remember the names of moves, don't talk about the action in the ring, forget wrestlers' names and can't keep a lid on Lawler.
Why is nationalism one of the few things we can't let stay hidden under the mask of kayfabe?
I would venture to say that most people on this board don't agree with men beating up women...or hell, most of us probably wouldn't even condone fighting another man (or woman) out of anger or in want of revenge. Yet we manage to hide THAT away under "kayfabe". Why is this so different?

As enflamed as some people get when you insult Canada, you'd think it was a real country instead of some place Vince made up to replace 'Parts Unknown' and a few diehard fans pretend to be from as a tribute to their favourite wrestlers.

The fact that I am a VETERAN of the UNITED STATED NAVY and have served in a WAR I like what Jim Ross said, and I appreciate it. Learn a little AMERICAN history before you start bitching about an AMERICAN being proud and wanting nothing but the stars and stripes being flown in the UNITED STATES on an AMERICAN holiday!
Oh, and Iceman, you dont like the south? Thats okay, us VETERANS provide you the freedom to complain about your nation! As Perry Saturn would say "You are welcome!"
As a fellow war-time Veteran(8 years-US NAVY), I applaud your words...Jim Hoss was referring to the AMERICAN holiday, Veterans Day. Which is a day to honor AMERICAN VETERANS, if you don't "get it", it's only your fault...
Thanks. I know I was really gushing when I put that up, but I was so excited after the match was over that I wanted to get something up right away. That said, I've been thinking about the finish all day, and it just keeps getting better to me.
