You know how Nintendo has been putting old NES games in new games recently? (See Animal Crossing and Metroid Prime) Well I think they just did themselves one better...

Gameforms says that Nintendo of Japan will be giving out a bonus disc containing The Ocarina of Time and the never released Ura-Zelda to anyone who prebuys Zelda for GameCube.

If Nintendo of America doesn't do this also I'll be very VERY mad.

I *heart* Nintendo...

Also, I read that in Japan, they had some sort of "Nintendo World Championship" competition, and the competitors were given passwords that unlocked "Super Mario Brothers 3" and the original "Legend of Zelda" in "Animal Crossing"... Sounds like an unfounded Internet rumor, but I did read this on IGN.com, so...

Honestly, it wouldn't suprise me if they weren't hiding something like that in there and, with the personalized password system and the lack of a GCN Gameshark, no one would find it until Nintendo told us about it...

Oh there's hidden stuff in Animal Crossing all right. Some people on GameFaqs have been entering random codes and got items from a Mario Theme that isn't in any of the guides or mentioned anywhere. They've gotten Koopa Shells, ? Blocks, Coins, and other nifty stuff.

The way they're getting these items, which are obviously meant for a later date, bothers me so I'm not doing it, but it's good to know there's going to be stuff going on in Animal Crossing for a long time to come.

When is Zelda due out in the US? And if you pre-buy it in the US you get the bonus disk, or is that only in Japan?

Zelda is due out this February. As of right now you only get the bonus disc from pre-buying it in Japan, but sources from PlanetGamecube have all but confirmed that it's coming here. They just don't know how or when.

See, it's anticipation like that that makes me love Animal Crossing. Even if there isn't anything in there, the thought of them packing in all that extra stuff is so enticing.

Just because Def Jam has Rappers instead of Wrestlers doesn't mean you shouldn't get it. There are plently of wrestling moves in this game.
