Andy Richter's getting his own show on Fox. I'll have to reserve judgment till I see it, but hey, Richter's a pretty funny guy.

I hope it's more like NewsRadio and less than the already-canceled Hank Azaria show.
Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family...Choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players and electrical tin openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol, and dental insurance...Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing, spirit crushing game shows, stuffing junk food into your mouth...Choose a future. Choose life... But why would I want to do a thing like that?
Which was an amalgam of Herman's Head, the headed-for cancellation Inside Schwartz (which was basically an even-less funny Herman's Head -- not that HH was funny) and the Dick Van Dyke show.

Yeah, right on about office comedies. As entertaining as Hank Azaria can be, that show sucked the high hard one. I would hope for better things for a Conan O'Brien expatriate like Richter.

The Hank Azaria show lasted two weeks exactly. I think the shortest of all the new shows this year. It wasn't THAT bad, but the comedy was very bland and unoriginal. As for Schartz...as a sports freak i really tried to get into the program but it sucked big time...although Schwartz best friend was a hottie. I'm really looking foward to Richter's show because i really think he could do well, especially with the leeway Fox gives to sitcoms.h

I, too, will withhold judgment until I see it, but I hope it will be good.
But, remember, George Carlin's a pretty funny guy, and his show bombed...

Richter's a pretty funny guy, so I'm looking forward to it.
Azaria's show was okay, but I only saw the "pilot" episode and missed the 2nd while away on business before it got yanked. I would have watched it again, but never got the chance.
That's too bad about some shows these days. What would have happened if NBC had treated "Cheers" or "The Seinfeld Chronicles" the same way when they debuted to less than stellar audiences? Of course, Azaria's show might never have approached those show's greatness or longevity, but you never know. Neither of those set the world on fire until their 2nd season or beyond. Gotta get a chance to breathe and figure things out y'know?
drew2 who still misses "Cupid,""Pig Sty," and "It's Your Move."
Why did they yank Azaria's show so quickly? I know it got the worst rating of any prime time show in the big 3 (ABC, NBC, CBS) for that week. But I read that some really popular show like Seinfeld or Friends did the same thing it's very first week.
I'm seeking some advice ... Some of you guys may remember my posting(s) about my son's birth last July and the subsequent issues (The W) that he experienced.
