Every week, I am noticing how funny Rachael Dratch can be. Sure, she looks like she ran through the Ugly forrest and smacked every tree a few times, but damnit, she is a better performer than every female on the show, with only Maya Rudolph being close.
Hey, I think Rachel Dratch is pretty attractive. They just always have her playing ugly characters.
I have really strange taste, though, as wrestling crowds have made clear to me.
"But the funniest thing was, when I was leaving the bay I saw three ships a-sailin', and they were all headed my way I asked the captain what his name was, and how come he didn't drive a truck He said his name was Columbus, I just said 'Good luck'. " ---"Bob Dylan's 115th Dream"
I thought it was alright...the whole thing just seemed kind of...drug-induced. It wasn't funny so much as being weird to try and be funny. Though maybe it's just me.

This was pretty much a snooze fest for me. What the hell was the Gene Shalit "Jackass" review crap about? Same with the baby rapper.
I think occaisionally the writers are allowed to put stuff on the air that is an "in joke" for them only. Sometimes, like 11/02, too much of it makes it into the final cut.
Boy, was that Update the worst ever or what? I agree that "Gene Shalit" wasn't funny, and the baby rapper was amazingly stupid.
I did like Dratch getting nutso over the games. That was the highlight of the evening, mostly because my group of gamers ALWAY argue like that over the most mundane of things. Get out Scattergories and there is guaranteed to be violence breaking loose in Tulsa.

THE RACHEL DRATCH SHOW~!
With Gasteyer gone, she's really stepping up as the most versatile female; Rudolph is more talented, methinks, but Dratch is impressing me more and more each week. Second the "kind of cute ugly chick" sentiments, as well.
This week's ep wasn't that bad; it and the McCain episode were each a lot better than the two stinkers they kicked off the season with. That second episode, the one with SMG, should never be spoken of again.
I'm looking forward to Al Gore hosting in December; THAT should be interesting. Parnell's Bush is okay, but they really need to throw serious cash at Ferrell to come back just for one episode and have him debate the real Gore.
Two politicians in one season... That's pretty strange. I generally like those shows, though. (John McCain was awesome a few weeks ago, and Gulianni was great every time he ever showed up. Steve Forbes was pretty bad, though.) The writers try extra hard when they have a host from outside of show business, and they are all used to live television and public performances. Plus, they run an assload of political sketches, and those are far and away the best part of the show.
EDIT: Hey, Al Gore will be the first person ever elected president to host SNL!

NO, he won the popular vote, but he wasnt elected president. I know that hurts you Dems! remember those bumperstickers after Clinton won? They should redo them for the Democrats to say "Bush is President, GET OVER IT".

You gotta know by now that OFB just does this stuff to bait us. Right? You gotta have timing and take your jab back when you get the chance.
When I see stuff like this, I just smile...it's more fun being friendly adversaries. You know...agree to disagree?
Back to SNL...I'll check out Al hosting. It'll be interesting to see if they draw some sort of personality out of Forest...er..Al.
Come now, people. Y'all need to learn to take a joke.

Hey, if you're going to link to Liquid Generation's Sabotage applets, be a little more subtle with the link title and description. You generate a lot more hatred that way.
