#12 Colorado (my second favorite team) vs. #2 Oklahoma #19 Minnesota vs. #4 Ohio State #17 Arizona State vs. #9 Washington State #17 Penn State vs. #4 Ohio State #18 Iowa State vs. #7 Texas #16 USC (my fav Pac 10 team) vs. #12 Oregon #17 Washington vs. #20 USC #4 Ohio State vs. Wisconsin #2 Oklahoma vs. #13 Iowa State
What do these games have in common? Well all except for one has two ranked teams. All of them are good matchups. All of them feature good teams. All of them are games I want to see. And all of them are games I HAVEN'T GOTTEN to see.
Wake Forest vs. Clemson Virginia vs. Georgia Tech Georgia Tech vs. #9 NC State
What do these games have in common? They're all in the ACC. None of these teams are interesting. None of these teams are good. They are all teams in the worst conference. They are all boring. AND THEY ARE THE GAMES I GET BECAUSE OF STUPID REGIONAL COVERAGE.
I don't want to see the ACC! The ACC sucks! They have no good teams! NC State is only ranked high because they play the rest of the conference, WHICH SUCKS! Georgia Tech, Clemson Virginia, and Maryland only have "upset potential" against NC State and Florida State because THEY SUCK TOO! The ACC is the most unentertaining crappy football I have ever seen.
Give me something else! If you live in Colorado, fine give them a Big 12 game. If you live in North Carolina, fine give them an ACC game. If you live in Washington, fine give them a Pac 10 game. But my state DOESN'T HAVE an ACC school, so why not give us the best game of the day? That makes sense to me. Instead i get the most uninteresting football game of the day.
I was so looking forward to making a day out of watching my two favorite teams Colorado and Florida upset Oklahoma and Georgia but instead we get this crap. Now i have nothing to do until tonight. I guess I will have to watch the second most uninteresting game of the day Tennessee vs. South Carolina. Too bad that most over-hyped receiver in the history of college football Kelly Washington isn't playing, because now i have nobody to make fun of.
*SIGH*
Thank God for ESPN for having the Florida game on tonight.
First off, Clemson played Duke today. Wake had FSU. Not that they were going to be any better. At least they got interesting near the end, though.
But at least here, we get 13 separate games on free TV. Miami/Rutgers was on a local station. And I don't even have any of that annoying alma mater loyalty to worry about, seeing as how my school's a 1-AAA one (translation: No football... hockey's our "money" sport. In quotes because no one really cares about it... I've got a story to tell, but that's for the Hockey forum.). So, of course, what am I watching?
Grizzlies/Kings.
Hate to say it, but out of the 13 games that we got here, a lot of them are just boring.
Great thing about the Northeast, unless by some fluke ABC is carrying Boston College, they will generally send the best game from the East or Midwest into the market. If your in ACC territory you have two options: Buy a dish, or go to a bar with a dish.
I want you to know, I agree with everything I've just said.
