If the timing was better and HHH already had the Horsemen backing him up, WWE could've produced a pretty cool match for Survivor Series. If you accept that the m.o. of the Horsemen is always to protect the leader/World Champ and make sure he keeps the title at all costs, then picture this elimination match for Survivor Series. The Horsemen vs. any four top face World Title challengers. The catch is HHH's World Title is on the line *only if* the faces can eliminate the other three Horsemen. Eliminate a Horsemen, and he gets sent to back and is barred from ringside. If HHH is left alone, the match becomes a free-for-all between him and the remaining faces…you pin him, you're the champ. Of course, no DQ's or count-outs.
No, no, no... no more Horsemen. It will destroy what legacy they have left. Was it not bad enough that Steve McMichael was a part of it? Just let the Horsemen go. They are a great part of wrestling history and should be kept there before McMahon and his daughter find a way to ruin their great legacy.

Good point there, Mountainman, but still, it would definitely be way more entertaining than.... you know. And besides, reenactment or not, Rolex wearers aren't supposed to be carrying on in this matter. It's so BENEATH them. I'm a sister of a Rolex wearer, so I know.

Have you forgotten that Goldberg will probably make his way into the WWE eventually? That'll be worse.
Faust:the whole damn IWC needs to take themselves less seriously - and more importantly - take wrestling less seriously. Swordsman Yen:How's this for taking wrestling less seriously? *click*

Not with his current representation. Ishii can out McMahon Vince himself.
Do they have to be called the Horsemen? I'm fine with HHH heading a stable with Flair, Batista, and Orton (That's the proposed new version, right?) but why can't they be original and call it something else?

Wienerville's resident WCW mark wholeheartedly agrees with a vast majority of people in this thread:
When I first started watching WCW back in February of '97, I sort of latched onto the Horsemen right from the start. Even though they were the version with Steve McMichael in it. I actually thought the Flair/Anderson/Benoit/Malenko version was really good, until they did a heel turn combined with an nWo face turn. Then the Horsemen became Hogan's bitches.
But even given the fact that McMichael and Paul Roma are both former Horsemen, I will still say that Triple H isn't good enough right now to be a Horseman.
I mean, the guy sucks! Competely and utterly! The angles he's in are helping to destroy the company! Triple H would be a perfect fit for the nWo, though. After all, doesn't the nWo have a reputation of being a bunch of “company-killing bastards”? No one right now fits that mold more than The Game.
Edit: Boy, I did go off on a little tangent there, didn't I?

The only way the 4 Horsemen would be cool is if Mongo and Arn came out of retirement and joined Benoit to punk out Flair for reviving and destroying the tradition of the 4 Horsemen.

Mongo helped destroy the tradition of the Horsemen. Now, if it was the rev. Blanchard who did it, fine. Mongo McMichael: the Horseman that makes us appreciate the days of Paul Roma and Sid as Horsemen.
I want you to know, I agree with everything I've just said.
Hell, why doesn't Vince just bring back the Millionaire's Club and the New Blood. That was certainly an exciting time for WCW, no? No, because when that happened, Nitro's ratings became non-exisitent. Vince may get a ratings spike from bringing back the Horsemen, but his writers will, stress that, WILL, screw it up.

Or since Steiner's back, the Magnificent Seven. All they need now would be Road Warrior Animal.

Jesus. If I said "I'm so hungry, I could eat a horse, man," somebody would say "I hope you eat Paul Roma, because he was the worst one ever!!" I didn't have to use the name Horsemen, but I did because I'm taking it as a given that they *are* coming back, no matter what.
