I had a feeling that this would be brutal, and I still can't believe how right I was. I saw what I saw last night. I knew that this would happen. I don't know where to go from here. I don't feel well, I got a little cold. I feel like SHIT. I don't have the will to defend anything or anybody, except myself. I need a break from the WWE. Not this board, because I love you guys, but the WWE in general. Maybe I didn't get the "humor". Hell, That assclown Kevin Dunn shouldn't compare this to The X-Files. The X-Files had more natural restraint in sensitive subjects, then he does. I'm tottally numbed, which probably means I'm overreacting. But I don't care anymore. What should I do now and where should I turn? Any suggestions welcome.
Bruce?! That fruit Bruce?! Well, I guess it wouldn't be so bad. Fortunately, I could watch CZW or XPW or NWA Wildside... I saw the comeback of Messiah on CZW last week, and I had a good feeling coming out of there. It was touching for sure. Yeah, I think that's a good place to go. I'll put Bruce on the backburner.
You could always follow Puro or even more so if you already do. And that show "Girls Club" looks like a good 9et/8ct pm timekiller on monday nights with its Gretchen Mol goodnes.

Does this look like a man who would dry hump a mannequin?
I love how they mention CSI in the press release. They are nowhere close to CSI in any catagory.

Ringmistress, did you consider yourself a diehard fan? Maybe I'm biased, cause I've watched WWF/E since I was 5, but I can't see myself giving up on them. No matter what happens I watch the WWE cause it's a part of me and I'll always be a fan.
Let's see. I don't remember the specific age, I think the first guy I remember seeing was Superstar Billy Graham. So, that must be ages ago. Please Brutle, why should I, a LIVE woman, stick around? A good reason would be really helpful.

Having it embedded in me since a child, like it seems it would be in you, is all the reason I've ever needed. Is this really the worst you have ever seen the WWE? I know you didnt skip the 80's, did you?
As for a suggestion what to watch instead, I find old tapes (assuming you tape lots of wrestling) and I watch some of the times I was more fond of than these. It always gets me through to see Bret vs. Bulldog in 92 =)
Is it the worst I've ever seen in WWE? Let's see, Trish barking like a dog with no one to save her, the HLA thing, now this? Um, I'd say that this last year's right up there. I do happen to tape a lot of wrestling, and one tape that helps me out I find is Canadian Stampede '97. The tape's aging, but it helps to see the Harts get the love they deserve.
Last night struck me as a big "FU" to the IWC. You start of with HHH declaring that he can do anything, and that he's untouchable. Bischoff comes out and I'm sure that many of us were hoping he would utter the phrase "War Games"--but he didn't. Lawler was back into full-on "Mute Button" mode. The necrophilia skit. It seemed like almost every thing was geared towards pissing off the "typical" Net fan.
BTW: I wouldn't equate the Trish bark like a dog skit with this. In that case, you knew that Trish was plotting some kind of revenge (or at least you found that out) and Vince got his comeuppance. But do you think that HHH is going to get *his* comeuppance? Is Kane going to take the belt off of him? Will Kane come out on top for anything more than one show? I doubt it. I hope I'm proven wrong, but I doubt it.

Ringmistress- Do you watch Smackdown? I gave up on Raw a few months ago and get my weekly fix on Thursday nights. Smackdown features quality wrestling matches- Angle, Benoit, the Guerreros, Noble, etc.- and seldom descends into storyline crap. The Brock/Taker rivalry was perhaps Smackdown's worst storyline mess since the split, and it was nowhere near the crap I read about on Raw.
Only reason i know i watch Raw is that I'm waiting. Waiting for a few things really but here are the specifics
*Hurricane to pull out the vertebreaker on Raw *Kane to return to the sick burnt up masterpeice that scared people to death *Booker T/Christian/Jericho to reach the main event with some credibility. (Christian especially, he is UNDERRATED!) *BookerT/Goldust at the movies to come back(guilty pleasure
****and failing all those i pretty much wait for them to do something that is fun to watch, well written and (If it can be done all at once)make me mark out like the little kid who came back for a day when Shawn Michaels walked the ramp and i didn't see it coming.
because the one thing that would hurt more then them pulling crap every week is if they did something amazing and i wasn't there.

I know the feeling exactly. I try to watch other things, but in the end, i cant stay away for more than a few minutes. i couldnt watch for 2 weeks in 2000, and i missed Chris Jericho defeating HHH for the belt(if only for a few minutes) and Tommy Dreamer making a cameo on during a Tazz match, and i never forgave myself.

Well for your information, I DO watch Smackdown because I admit to thinking Kurt Angle's cute. There is ONE advantage to the split: All the good stuff on one show, and they hardly mention what happens on the other. Yup, and it's FREE!

As far as I can tell that's why they did the split in the first place. Now if they do drop the ball on one show as they have with RAW, then can still keep the fans around for the other show. Maybe they're just going towards a "casual fans on Mondays, wrestling fans on Thursday" type feeling overall. If that's the case, fine, I'll still watch both shows.
