Now I know we've all been calling for Undertaker to put Brock over and now that it's happened, it leaves us with one important question. Where does Brock go from here? Who will challenge him next at Survivor Series? Well, let's take a look at the candidates.

-Edge: This is the guy WWE's been building up for a long time and I think he may be the next challenger by default. The problem is, he just did the job tonight. Will fans take him seriously after tapping like a girl to Angle? I think they will and I'd bet on Edge challenging Brock very soon.

-Kurt Angle: Scratch him out right off the bat. He's a tag champion now and it's looking more like WWE's building towards another Benoit/Angle match. Brock/Angle still looks like it's on tap for Wrestlemania X-9.

-Hulk Hogan: If there are no other challengers, then now's a good time as any to bring Hogan back for his revenge campaign against Brock. Of course, this will scare more than one smark, but who cares? Brock needs a challenger and if he takes Hogan out in a career match, it could turn him into a legend!

And then there's...

-Triple H in a Unification Match: If all other options fail, they'll likely put Triple H and Brock together in a title vs title match. But I sincerely hope not, because it'd be more than likely that Triple H would be the one to pin Brock for the first time just to once again show everyone that he has the biggest dick in our sport.

Any other candidates I've missed?

I think Edge will be and should be the guy. You ask if fans will take him seriously, I hope they do after he has proven himself with two terrific matches in the last month alone with Eddy and Angle on consecutive weeks.

He has shown himself to be able to put on quality matches, and he has the charisma and crowd support to make a beliveable and likeable underdog face.

there is no way that they are going to unify the world titles within the next month after they just went through the trouble of arranging it so that each show has one world title, tag titles and one secondary title.

I say they give it a shot and go with Edge. Only problem I see with that is that Survivor Series is usually one of the "big" PPVs, and Edge/Brock won't have that "big time" feel to it yet, imo.

I think it'll be Hogan. For the sheer nostalgia of seeing Hogan challenge for the title at MSG one last time, plus the fact that Hogan has a biography coming out this fall, I'd say Hogan is the choice. Personally, I'd like to see Benoit but it wouldn't make sense right now.

The man I'd honestly love to see step up and take on Brock -- Rey. I think those two could just have a hell of a match.

But Edge is really the one most prepared to step up and prove himself a PPV main eventer.

I REALLY hope that the Orange Goblin doesn't go NEAR the Title. I can't forget the past, and how has always has to get his JOB back(kinda like HHH, huh?), and always wants to be on top...
I'm assuming Old Baldy is finally gone for good, at least in a wrestling capacity. IF he does come back, I hope it's to job to Benoit, Jericho, RVD, Booker T, Edge, etc...even Spike Dudley.
Now, I would look forward to seeing Angle or Benoit, but it is pretty obvious that they are going to be feuding for a while.
Edge...I don't know, I've never really been too impressed by Edge, and I don't think that he has the look of a guy who could be capable of beating Brock.
Hey, it HAS been pretty quiet on the Scott Steiner rumors/news...

Oh, don't get me wrong. I am in no way saying Hogan should win the belt. I just personally would dig Hogan main-eventing one last PPV from MSG, that's all.

(small spoiler alert)

After the events of this evening, I wouldn't be surprised to somehow see Big Show end up on Smackdown, and maybe get the main event he so desires, as it can never really hurt your credibility as an unstoppable monster to destroy a giant guy. While admittedly workrate-wise the thought makes me retch, I wouldn't put it past them to try and shoehorn Show into a main event slot.

I would be surprised to see Edge, simply because I get the impression they're holding him off so when they finally run him at a world title that he actually wins the thing, and right now is not the time for that. I actually have a sense we might see a multi-person match for the title at SurSer. Perhaps bringing back the six-pack challenge match with Lesnar, Benoit, Angle, Rey, Edge, and maybe Eddy or Rikishi or the aforementioned Show.

Of course it could just be Hogan, in which case hopefully Brock will squash him again :)

Next Week, I plan on rushing for 200 yds. against the Bears:
Detroit 23, Chicago 20
Bears go to 2-4 (next vs. Minnesota Oct. 27)

This would be a perfect time for Hogan to come back for revenge against Brock and promote his book, but he's not winning and I can't see him coming back to win again.

I think Edge should challenge him to defend his hero Hulk's honor and if Hogan wanted to come back and "manage" Edge for that match, well that would work out really well.

Since T and Jericho are still tied up, I have to assume Van Dam is going to re-challenge, and the notion of Show doing that is terribly scary!!!!!!!111

Who says Brock will defend the title at Survivor Series at all? After all, it is Survivor Series. How about a good old fashioned Survivor Series match pitting Raw vs. Smackdown? Lesnar's team vs. HHH's team. It'd give HHH the chance to go over Lesnar without actually having to unify the titles and it would leave more time to setup another title feud for Lesnar. Plus, with HHH winning, it would give Bischoff a second chance to get Steph into some HLA on a bet. She seems up for it and the laytex fad has passed, so why not?

But that would mean a roster move for RVD, which would make the RAW roster EVEN weaker than it is. I don't see that happening, yet...

damn you inVerse. i was going to suggest the brock in a survivor series match as well. but who would be on the teams? for Raw, maybe Rosey/Jamal, HHH, and flair, vs. Brock, mattitude, benoit/angle. or maybe christian/jericho on the raw team so both sets of tag champs are in on the action?

I missed the PPV. To what events are you referring? Why would Big Show go to SD? Wouldn't a trade have to take place?

Since, I'm going to Survivor Series, I do not want to spend money to see the big match be a Survivor Series match. Call me crazy, but I think this not the right time for them. I want to see some titles change hands either HHH or Brock job or I'm just waisting my money. That said, I want a Survivor Series match at Survivor Series, I just want it as the undercard with a title being the Main Event. I would suggest this type of booking.

Victoria vs. Trish- Cage. Trish loses in a bloody match with the words puppies being edited out.

Team Smackdown (Big Show, Ron Simmons, D-Von, John Cena and Matt Hardy)

vs.

Team Raw (RVD, Spike, Bubbha, Tommy and Kane).

- Steph believes power is better than speed, critical mistake as Team Raw's army of Freaks crushes them. Funny spots where Matt leans his "Team Leadership"

Team Smackdown (Chuck, Taijira, Mark Henry, Billy Kidman and person to be named later)

vs.

Team Raw (Regal, Storm, Rico, Jamal and Roise.)

- Eric loses as Hogan or a recent Raw acquistion turns the tide of battle.

Angle/Benoit vs.Eddy and Chavo tag belts- If the Angle/Benoit team stays together this would be a great match if not I get Angle vs. Benoit, either way I'm happy.

Rey vs Jamie- Crusierweight belts- Rey wins the belt the first time out, but danger lurks as the Ultimato Dragon is coming.

Brock vs. Edge -

- Edge wins. After taking a beating, Edge manages to win in a controversial fashion.

Jericho/Christian vs. Golddust and Hurricane

-More the army of freaks get victories as this new combo team works well.

HHH vs. Booker T- Streetfight.
- Remember, Rock vs. Mick where Mick got his first win, book it the same way with Flair and Eric's team Raw on one side while the new champs and the rest of the army of freaks on the other side. When the clusterfuck begins have Rock or HBK come out to cost HHH the win and give Booker T , the belt. Then, I'd say I get my money's worth.

A Fan- If they book this tonight or something similar I will be pleased, unfortuantly, the Kane angle is going on or we get HHH beating Brock as the main event either way, it will suck.

I think they might use Rey as the set up for Edge being in the main event at Survivor Series. Have Lesnar absolutely crush Rey, use him as a lawn dart, everything, but let Rey show some heart and fight back, before ultimately doing a stretcher job. This would allow Edge to go into Survivor Series attempting to extract revenge for his last 2 tag partners being destroyed by Lesnar.

As for Survivor Series teams, each GM would obviously want the best team possible, so they're going to put their top guys on each time. Hence, there will be as much conflict between team members as there would be between teams.

If Brock were to have a singles match, though, I think the obvious opponent would be Mattitude. I mean, look at all the times he set up The Undertaker for Lesnar. And Hardy holds 2(!) victories over 'Taker whereas Lesnar only holds one. If Version 1.0 hadn't softened up 'Taker, Brock very well might not have that belt around his waist. In fact, I'll go so far as to say that Matt Hardy was single handedly responsible for Brock Lesnar's victory in Hell in the Cell. Just ask him, I'm sure he'll tell you!

I like the idea of Team Triple H vs. Team Brock but their is one snag,Triple H would have to eliminate everyone.......even the people on his own team.

Everyone keeps talking about how Edge has proven himself, putting on all these great matches. But HELL, every damn match he's been in has been with or against Rey, Angle or the Guerrerros. Who couldn't put on a good match with them. I don't think the guy can carry a match against a guy like Brock and make it good.

I shed no tears for Zeke. He's definitely done too many jobs since he won the title, but if it means WWE has decided not give a big singles push to him then I would say good, he doesn't deserve one. No offense Zeke.
