Kudos to the Undertaker. He did the job on a bigger stage than the Unforgiven match that you all bitched about. In retrospect, he made the win even bigger by doing it in this fashion. He bladed like a champ, and was part of an excellent bloodbath of a match. No big bump, but none needed. The show as a whole wasn't spectacular....but this match WILL be remembered. Good job, Taker. Show those "Internet Folk".

Edit - Angle/Benoit as champs also rule -- I felt the rest of the matches were solid action-wise but seemingly ended odd. Maybe it was just me....

I agree. I never thought Taker would put Brock over as clean as he did. So, my apologies to the Deadman. (I know, like he even reads this) Looks like Brock's a legend-killer of epic proportions now. He's beaten Flair, Hogan, Rock, Taker, and was booked to beat Austin--althought that changed slightly from original plans. (I like to make understatements) What legends are left for him to beat?

He did an awesome job (hee hee double meaning) tonight and that match was awesome and I take my hat off to him but the Unforgiven finish was still really awful.

I must take umbrage with your praise.

I thought the match was WAY long, and after weeks of the moronic storyline about Undertaker's broken hand, the injury was completely forgotten once the cast was removed. In fact, one of the near-falls at the end came when he did a chokeslam with the "broken" hand. That's just a BIT too much suspense of disbelief for me, especially when the match was pretty much a slow brawl for the 28 minutes or so leading up to the finish.

But maybe that's just me.

He had pain killers injected, Scott! Pain Killers!

Plus I thought, angle aside, that it was a good brawl. Not on the level of good of the Tag Match, but still really really good, and way better than people had said it would be.

I should have listened to spf2119 about HHH because he is the smartest Wiener around.

Since everyone else is doing it (ok, not EVERYONE, but...)

Vikings (1-5) - Well on our way back to 1-15.
Badgers (5-3) - Apparently the Motto is now "Wisconsin: Seeing How Many Close Games We Can Lose"
Twins (OUT) - Oh well, if we're still around next year...
Buffy 7.4 earns a 6.123 Out of 10 for being contrived and rather stupid. But at least the characters are less annoying than last season. And next week: All Anya, All the Time.

I certainly agree with the hand stuff (plus you'd think it'd be all black & blue & shit when the cast came off) though he did get The Shot. You wouldn't be able to chokeslam someone with the broken hand however indeed. And it did start really slow. But JUICE BABY JUICE and it got pretty wonderful there for the second half. ImO.

I'll admit I thought the PPV would suck and I was somewhat pleasantly surprised. I just wish they'd give Dawn in the shower more screen time. Did I mention I like brunettes?

I was pretty bothered by the hand thing, too, although towards the end of the match, Taker was howling in pain after every 'soupbone' he threw with the broken hand in an attempt to keep the selling going ... I just couldn't buy into the chokeslam with the bad hand, though.

Still, for performance, the match was exactly what I expected - a slow, methodical, brutal, bloody match that made Brock look like a million bucks in the end.

Plus, the bladejob Taker did was completely unreal. Gory gory gory.

Taker did the job, and I respect him for that. Brock getting to climb the cage and pose was great to see and reminded me of the win over Rock at Summerslam (which is what the WWE was probably hoping for).

Then again, Taker was probably just happy that the Smarks can now go back to Public Enemy number 1- HHH.

Well, I won't jump onto the “OMG TAKER IS SUCH A WONDERFUL HUMAN BEGIN AND I WANT HIS LOVE CHILD~!!!” bandwagon just yet.

Putting over one young up-and-comer in the past year doesn't quite make up for all the bullshit that led up to that point. Hell, Taker wouldn't even be pinned to lose his Undisputed Title, remember? Kurt Angle had to take the fall for him.

I give credit to The Undertaker for finally being defeated in convincing fashion. But I still like him only slightly more than I like Triple H (which is to say, almost not at all).

Obvious question coming out of the interview: Who was the guy they originally tagged for the Inside Out role? Mr. Anderson perhaps? Not sure when it was filmed but I imagine it could've have been sometime around when Anderson left.
