II. Badd Blood In Your House
Hell in a Cell
The Undertaker Vs. Shawn Michaels

III. King of the Ring 2001
Street Fight
Shane McMahon Vs. Kurt Angle

IV. SummerSlam 1996

The Undertaker Vs. Mankind

V. WrestleMania 13

WCW:
I. Uncesored 1998

Raven Vs. Chris Benoit Vs. Diamond Dallas Page

II. Great American Bash 2000
Human Torch Match
Sting Vs. Vampiro
(I just love how poorly acted the switch was with the stunt Sting. I love that bump though with the stunt man on fire. and oh yeah Vampiro is the man.)

III. Slamboree 2000
Ready to Rumble Triple Cage Triangle Heavyweight Championship Match
David Vs. DDP Vs. Jeff Jarrett

These matches are really cool. Im sure there are far supperior matches but I just love these as my personal favorites.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

Just having something like Sting vs. Vampiro as a great match up there... ... URG!!! ... It's... it's... disgusting beyond words!!! NO!!!

Did you EVER watch WCW?!?

I'm not a big fan of your WWF picks either, with exception to Hell in a Cell #1. Other than that... NO, NO, NO!!!

The WWF matches are fine with the exception of the boiler room match. Any time David Arquette is in a top matches list is a BAD thing. Though, the U.S. Title match was good.

Honestly though, it's the guy's list. Don't pan it because you don't agree with him, embrace diversity, yo!

Since everyone else is doing it (ok, not EVERYONE, but...)

Vikings (1-4) - A win is a win.
Badgers (5-2) - Indiana? INDIANA?!?! *sigh*
Twins (OUT) - Oh well, if we're still around next year...
Buffy 7.4 earns a 6.123 Out of 10 for being contrived and rather stupid. But at least the characters are less annoying than last season. And next week: All Anya, All the Time.

There is a difference between "Best" and "Favourite".

My favourite match is probably Blitzkrieg vs. Juvi from Stampede 99. But I wouldn't even have that in a BEST OF WCW list. I'd think the best match is probably... HHH vs. Rock in their Iron Man match.

And ANYONE who likes that Russo clusterfuck with Sting and Vampiro should take a step back, and re-examine why they like wrestling. That match was quite possibly the most disgusting match in the HISTORY of Pro-Wrestling. At least Jake the Snake vs. Neidhart from Heros of Pro Wrestling was a WRESTLING match, and not some Russo brain fart.

(edit: some spelling)

Meh, the boiler room match isn't for everyone. Personally, I LOVE it. It certainly could have used some commentary, but there's something about an eerie sort of gross brutality that we just don't see enough of anymore. It's different from anything the company had done to that point, or has done since. THAT was hardcore.

I wouldn't put it as a top 5, but it was certainly more memorable than Kurt vs. Benoit at X7.

David Arquette and Skippy McMahon in a list of favorites? One of the, if not the, worst Sting match ever in the list? Ric Flair's talent must be rolling over in its grave.

I want you to know, I agree with everything I've just said.

With apologies to whoever's trademark I'm about to infringe:

Boooooooooooo.

(Then again, he called these matches his favorites, not the best ever. Mercifully for him.)

Ok whoa. These are my favorites, I don't know what the best matches are. I would pick along the lines of maybe Shawn Vs. Bret at WM12 or Jericho Vs. Triple H Last man standing at Fully Loaded. Those picks i made were like the matches that entertained me the most. There is a line between favorite and best, sorry i should have cleared it up more. thanks.

And that's...a GOOD THING!

Well, I can't speak for WCW since I never watched it regularly but I'll take a stab at WWF. It may not be the 5 best--it may not even be my 5 favorite. Just the first 5 that come to mind. Savage/Steamboat (WM III), Jericho/Rock (No Mercy 2001), Bret/Austin (Survivor Series 96), Angle/Austin (SummerSlam 2001), and Jericho/Benoit (Royal Rumble 2001).

The only reason I have a slight problem with the picks is because obviously you haven't watched WWE long enough to garner a true "Greatest Match" list. The matches you listed were great recent matches, but there were plenty just as great, and greater, than before 96/97.

I liked the Angle vs Benoit match, just about any time they wrestle it's good, but i don't know if i would put them in my top 5. Hell in the Cell I and the Submission match are both top 10 for sure. The US title match you listed I thought was great also, but I haven't seen the other two WCW matches because i haven't seen many WCW ppvs.

Hey Yo...

Allright, I'll list my own personal favorites:

WWF/E

1. Savage/Steamboat

2. Austin/Rock I

3. Hart/Flair (random tape, Harts wins the title)

4. Rock/Triple H Iron Man

5. 6 Man Hell in a Cell (Angle, Kishi, Taker, Rock, Triple H, Austin, just my own personal fave)

WCW

1. Flair/Steamboat Chi-Town Rumble

2. Flair/Sting ORIGINAL pay per view match (think it was a Clash of Champions, can't really remember)

3. Booker/Kanyon (can't remember the pay per view, but it was the height of Positively Kanyon, I just REALLY liked this match, a personal favorite)

Well, these are my picks. Of course, they're just my own personal, I got most of my favorite wrestlers in, just because it's easier for me to remember their stuff.

Benoit/Angle had a bad finish, so no.
Angle/Shane was too gimmicky & hard to watch in spots
Hell in A Cell I maybe...but it had interference, so no.
Austin/Hart belongs here, maybe.

As for the WCW trio of matches, No. Just...no.

Ricky Steamboat/Randy Savage [IC Title; WMIII]
Bret Hart/Owen Hart [WWF Title/Cage Match; SummerSlam]
Steve Austin/Triple H [3 Stages of Hell; No Way Out]
Cactus Jack/Triple H [Hell In A Cell; No Way Out]
Shawn Michaels/Razor Ramon [Ladder Match; WMX]
Honorable Mention to Owen/Bret from WMX

As for WCW, it's just been too long to remember them, but...

Bret Hart/Chris Benoit [Owen Hart Memorial Match]
Benoit/Raven/DDP [US Title Triangle Match]
And any Flair/Steamboat clash for the third.

Without mentioning the usual stuff (just for variety), I'd pick:

1)Sting/Luger vs. Steiners (when Nikita Koloff attacked them)

2)Ron Simmons beating Big Van Vader for the title (not pretty, but I went crazy when the underdog won)

3)Bobby Eaton and Arn Anderson

And for the WWE/F:

1)Curt Hennig beats Ric Flair on Raw years ago

2)The Brainbusters beat Strike Force at Wrestle Mania 5

3)Dude Love/Mankind vs. Steve Austin (pick one)

4)Tito Santana vs. Greg Valentine over the IC title

5)Tommy Dreamer vs. D-Von when ECW was invited to Raw

OOooh lists. I can't resist...

Savage vs. Flair, Wrestlemania VIII
Cactus Jack vs. HHH, Now Way Out 2000
Shawn Michaels vs. Razor Ramon, Wrestlemania X
Owen Hart vs. British Bulldog, Raw, March 97
TLC 1, Summerslam 2000

For WCW, let's go:

Jushin Liger vs. Brian Pillman, SuperBrawl 1992
Vader vs. Sting strap match, SuperBrawl 1993
And either 1991 Wargames from WrestleWar, or 1992. Depends on if I want Flair or if I want Austin.

And since I haven't included anything new on the WCW side, honorable mention to Rey Mysterio, Jr vs. Eddie Guerrero Havoc '97, and Juventud Guerrera vs. Blitzkrieg, Spring Stampede 1999.
